"99.974 ºC", official MV for their first single release. They don't have a regular-member drummer, this one left, too bad. What is it with disappearing drummers, do we need to review This is Spinal Tap?According to the band bio at tricot.tv: The band’s experimental music primarily consists of melodic post-rock-inspired sounds and complex rhythm reminiscent of math rock (although the members are not conscious of music genres such as post-rock or math rock. They may not even know the term “math rock”).Whatever you say will be fine. It's not math-rock to name a song after the decimal value of pi in hundredths, I think geek-rock is more like it. This song title relates to the international standard boiling point of water, originally intended to be 100 ºC although that did not work out just right in terms of the Kelvin scale, which has more value for physics. Kelvin won. ** Let's-all-kill-ourselves disco downer lyrics. These guys would have fun hanging out with Wowaka, I bet. translations.alerante-net/tricot/99.974_C/"The 37.8-degree fever cools down the 39-degree one" — what's that again? 37 °C is the conventional value for "normal" human internal body temperature. - 37.8 °C = 100.0 °F => oral temp, rule-of-thumb boundary for "fever"
- 39.0 °C = 102.2 °F => you feel definitely feel feverish
⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ⦾ ⦿ ** 99.974 ºC is the approximated boiling point of Vienna Standard Mean Ocean Water (VSMOW water) at one standard atmosphere of pressure, according to the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90). Don't worry, zero degrees Kelvin (absolute zero) continues to be equivalent to −273.15 degrees Celsius. I know that's a load off your mind. I didn't plan it, but this is a good time to go all Rain Man, because it's my 10-hundred and 10th submission to this forum, No. 1010. That's decimal notation. In binary, it'd be No. 1111110010.

This is class. I like these ladies very much.
tricot - Niwa Studio Live Session with 5 Drummers 2015 MAR 30 by tricot Official Channel (06:51) Published on Mar 30, 2015 This studio live session was performed on March 8 and new songs from the coming 2nd album "A N D" (released on March 18) were performed with 5 drummers who participated in the recording of the album: BOBO, Munenori Senju, Toshiki Hata (ex. Tokyo Incident), Miyoko Yamaguchi (detroit 7), Kosuke Wakiyama (tobaccojuice).
Really a nice stunt. Any time you've got 5 drummers, it's Carnaval. tricot's vocalist is a strong one.

tricot YATTOKOSA North American Tour Watch continues. Worried about the SanFuranshisuko date at dive-y dance tank The DNA Lounge, because Ticketmaster and the venue itself do not reflect the band's belief that a show is actually scheduled there. tricot are:Vo & Gt: 中嶋・イッキュウ...........Ikkyu Nakajima Gt & Cho: キダ・モティフォ.........(Motoko) "Motifour" Kida Bass & Cho: ヒロミ・ヒロヒロ......"Hirohiro" Hiromi (Sagare) with:Dr: 山口美代子...........................Miyoko Yamaguchi, supporting; also of detroit7 Meanwhile, here's one show two very different times from the same tour. Hot version and cool version. tricot live at Pohoda Festival 12 July 2014 Trenčín, Slovakia 2014 JUL 18 by koleps1i (15:09) 00:00 - "Break" 01:11 - Audience address vamp 01:48 - "Bakuretsu Panie-San" 06:32 - "99.974 ºC" 11:49 - "Matsuri"An afternoon tent show, later one evening there was a second set on the main stage. This is a slight shambles, Ikkyu's odd Altera custom tele has gone out of tune. Doesn't matter, the band is loving life. Do you know Japanese matsuri? We were showing you. From now, it's Party Time!!! Tricot Live @ VOLT Fesztivál 2014 [Full Concert]2014 SEP 23 by VOLT Fesztivál (42:31) 00:00 - "Oyasumi" 03:36 - "Pool" 07:47 - Intro + "Omotenashi" 13:01 - "Anamein" 17:25 - "Tobe" 21:44 - "Ochansensu-su" 25:07 - "Break" 28:33 - Intro + Bakuretsu Panie-San" 34:14 - "99.974 ºC" 39:34 - "Matsuri"We are Toriko from Japan. VOLT Fesztivál, Sopron, Hungary. Same lineup, likely the exact same set, but complete and pro-quality upload. Great facilities from VOLT. The big difference is this Hungarian audience is ready for the morgue, while noise from the neighboring stage keeps bleeding over. tricot play like they mean it, they sound great, they roll on the floor, Hiromi sports about till she unplugs herself. (The stage hands are supposed to prevent this.) There just isn't much energy coming back. Do you rike music? Do you rike rock? Hey! Ikkyu screams like panther, but looks a little bit tired and let down. Hitomi has a grin like a Great White. That is some mouthful of teeth on her. The kanji characters on Motoko's hands are interesting: - RH __ 甲 __ Armor; Grade A; the back of the hand
- LH __ 攻 __ Attack, assault; criticize; polish

That is a nice intro. These guys have earned the attention they are getting. It's probably not 100% true about looking for a new permanent drummer. Every other time they've been asked, they act pretty happy with drummer of the month. The relationship with former permanent drummer Komaki wasn't all roses. Nothing to do with his playing, but there was a trying 3+1 social dynamic that has been explained in various vague ways. Ikkyu's version amounts to: the trio is so tight there isn't much of a crack for a fourth member to squeeze in through. For another thing, every time they work with a different drummer it's like a blood transfusion. This helps them grow. Bassist Hirohiro's been positive about that part, and Ikkyu always likes a new toy. I would add to any basic band profile that it's phenomenal how hard this group works. Their closest fans are protective as mother hens, I think in part because they can catch a faint whiff of exhaustion. Tricot never seem to get off the road for more than a few weeks. I can't remember if they've even completed the tour previous, because there was at least one makeup date in Manilla, and the instant Yattakosa NA finished there was more Yattakosa JP... and now starting in February, Yattakosa Europe... Their moment has come, and they're trying to be equal to it. They run their own show as independents, so this is just what they feel is required. In San Francisco, when dragged back for the encore, while the band was worming its way onto the riser Ikkyu did a wilted flower for one brief second. "So tired!" she said plaintively into her mic, and then they batted out the song and completely killed it.

I know it's only a stepping stone on their path to world domination, but I love this anyway. Since adding this nice track would make a regular CD single into a deluxe or a maxi, giving it away to fans means one thing to me: they're writing a lot of new material, and they've got songs to spare! UPDATE: Less than 6 hours left to request this perk. It's not available through the Bandcamp app, you have to use a web browser at tricot-jp.bandcamp.com/album/pork-ginger and you can't download from Bandcamp to an iPhone. First time I've met with that bit of Apple ruthlessness.
