And they start... another Japan tour... on the 1st of April. There's a new EP about to drop, videos are in post production.
Free show in Stockholm, interesting.
There is no month this spring that they aren't touring at least half of. In recent "so long, Japan, be seeing you Europe" notices they sound a little homesick already.
Miyoko Yamaguchi of detroit7, the Lipsmax, BimBamBoom and others is with them, lucky you!

Interview from 29 February With Andrew David Hughes For Birthday Cake for Breakfast Goin' Out West2016-02-29 goin-out-west-an-interview-with-tricot-as-they-make-their-return-to-uk-soilOne of those interviews with a few 75-word leading questions that encapsulate the expected answers, and the subject says yes. Mostly. They're glad to be back in the UK and they managed to connect with an audience 2X+ their age opening for the Pixies last time through. Upcoming EP release gets a description: Ikkyu: We have been recording new songs and will release an EP with 5 songs in April. It was recorded with four drummers, who are different from the drummers on the previous album. But “Pork Ginger" is not included in it!〜〜〜〜〜 They've gone back to Japanese titles. This one is KABUKU (傾く), which you could call "tilt" in English. It's a verb with a weakish, downward connotation of leaning over (like a ripe head of rice), inclining, or slanting toward some sort of attractor. And jisho.org also gives: 2. To behave oddly; to attire oneself strangely 3. To perform kabuki The word's tagged as archaic. tricot haven't given up their liking for enigmatic things.

Right, take two! TRICOT LIVE IN CARDIFFyoutu.be/wwHFkcsEeikThe audio isn't as clean as I would have liked but is miles better than the audio from my camera, & I just had to post this awesome gig. Seeing that the lead singer, Ikumi, was bare footed I made sure I included a few feet shots for our resident foot fetishist! I'm not gonna mention any names but he's Canadian!!!! At the gig there was a dude stood to my my immediate right, he was A. an a***hole and B. a drunken a***hole. He can be heard screaming & bellowing at many times during the upload. At one stage he proceeded to make some extremely obscene, offensive & quite racist comments. I made a mental note to edit these out of the final upload, but yesterday I uploaded feeling very pleased with myself, then five minutes later realized to my horror & disbelief that I'd, as we Brits say, dropped a huge bollock! I'd left in his offensive comments, so I had to delete the upload, arrrghhh!!!!, then re edit a portion of the vid/audio before uploading this morning. I hope it is enjoyed by forum members. On the last train on the way home is was literally like Hogarth's 'Gin Lane'. I had to step over drunken women sprawled on the floor to get off the train. One drunken man thought it funny to stand in my way in the vestuble area of the train as I was trying to get off. I was forced to do him a 'physical discourtesy', the look of total surprise on his face when he landed on his arse was priceless!!! Tricot were worth it though. Next Sunday seen 'em again in Leicester!!

Right, take two! I hope it is enjoyed by forum members. HUGELY, and I'm only 20 minutes in. There's nothing like watching this band work. I couldn't see as well as this when they were right in front of me. Motifour hopping around like a cricket. It's a shame about your neighbor, the girls understand English only too well. The singer's Ikkyu, BTW. Ikumi is with that other 4P girl band you like. I guess the first-aid tape on the feet is something to do with this photo from Instagram. The comment was, "I was raging." instagram.com/p/BCr5fd0lRTt/

As an acknowledgement to the concert-goer in Cardiff whose requested song "Diver" was not on the setlist, here it is off the single: ダイバー (Diver) - tricot2015 June 21 by nyrox osu (04:27) Hiromi's song, Diver, from the single E. Please support the artist by buying the album if you like their music.About the song, Hirohiro had this to say: Hiromi: (Laughs) I didn't feel like singing it at all, they told me afterwards "You sang fine!" That was the first time I've put a composition in front of the band, or lyrics, or done the main vocal. I had hella trouble putting a melody to the song, but surprisingly the lyrics didn't bother me that way. The lyrics are, somehow things will turn out eventually, "It's going to be okay" is what the song is saying. Nakajima (Ikkyu): There's a feeling that says, "Hiromi did it" in the melody and also in the lyrics. Out of the three songs on the single, it might be the best one. Hiromi: So embarrassing! That was from a December 2014 interview with Natsumi Itoh for her "Music Sketch" column in the Japan edition of the Madame Figaro women's lifestyle magazine. The fastest interview with tricot on finishing a turbulent yearcolumn.madamefigaro.jp/culture/music-sketch/2014tricot.htmlThey talk about touring Asia and Europe minus their regular drummer, and the release of the singles Break and E. It's a great interview… in Japanese… with a "to be continued" promise that does not seem to have come true yet. Ikkyu's painting appeared on posters and t-shirts

https://www.instagram.com/p/BC6jDcIFRZF It's Motifour's birthday today — 3.14 for the analytic geometry fans. Since she was talking about being 27 yesterday, I believe this means she's just made 28. WRONG: SHE'S 27. She was just rounding up, she was born in 1989. Hirohiro is the old lady of the three, 28 this May.Ikkyu still calls her "sempai" from their time together at school. That's probably fun until 30, but sempai she will always be. She was skipping rope with a 9-year-old just lately. Pretty funny, check out @hrhr523 on Instagram.
