"I used the black Stratocaster my father had at the beginning when I started the band, but I’m sorry to say that the damage it sustained from live shows and touring was so bad that I could no longer use it."

Scenes from Ikkyu's other lifeBeing the emotive Shiina Ringo-like alternative siren I don't have a date for this, but it's quite some time ago. Ikkyu was doing a lot of moonlighting after the Kabuku tour wrapped up and before they started work on 3 for real. ZAZEN BOYS × Nakajima Ikkyu (tricot) –KIMOCHI–
2017 JUN 30 by Grimoire (06:52) Duet with bandleader Shutoku Mukai, ex-Number Girl on his 2004 song for the original Zazen Boys. Ikkyu bows in at about 02:20 for the guest vocal. Getting asked is a public honor and it looks like she feels it. I wouldn't say she looks terribly at home trying to fit in with the Zazen crew, but she gropes her way into it by imitating Mukai's repressed but crazy-fervid delivery. Brave overall. This is the Ikkyu who looks up to Shiina Ringo's torch singer self. There are lyrics in Japanese and English by Alix Fyffe at his endlessly scrolling Entry No. 1 blog of translated poems, comics and pop songs. longdream.wordpress.com/2011/10/13/kimochi-by-zazen-boys/〜〜〜〜〜 What Zazen Boys are like doing it on their own: ZAZEN BOYS – KIMOCHI (FACTORY)2009 MAR 23 by nikubuta (05:57) 2008 FACTORY Performance recorded 2008 July 21 for the Fuji TV series LIVE FACTORY ep721. The girls in front seem to be eating this up. It's a pretty commanding performance. They pour it on, then back-pedal, glide, talk through member intros, do some stuttery crooning, then slam you again, then repeat. The set included: SUGAR MAN RIFF MAN HIMITSU GIRL'S TOP SECRET Asobi I Do not Wanna Be With You KIMOCHI COLD BEAT

Counting down: show 26 on the 47-stop national tourtricot is in a class by itself, not just because they like to write and play songs that bend your mind, not just because Ikkyu's angsty wail goes higher and higher, but for this... [ MOVIE – IMAGE STACK ] http://instagr.am/p/BWsW-a6gz0l 26/47 Kanazawa – It was so insanely hot that it was getting out of control THIS・IS・MADNESS Empty stomachs too, we've been trying out everything for 3 days, completely different setlists for 3 days though, so off-the-charts cool, next is Nagano/Nigata!It's all so awesome that Motifour's IG captions are like beatnik prose poems no time for sentences or punctuation gimme another sheet of paper quick

UK and EU tour 2017Similar groove to last year, till mid-Sept Tonight in Brighton at The Haunt Sept. 2, it's Paris. tricot "99.974°C - Melon Soda" live at ArcTanGent 19.8.20172017 AUG 22 by tricot Official Channel (06:04) tricot "99.974°C - Melon Soda" live at ArcTanGent 2017 Bristol, UK.tricot giving the people what they want. Oddly, less exciting than many concert clips. They look tiny and far apart in these shots. Motifour is doing more squinting at knobs than she should have to, and simply drags her butt to the wing as she exits. Though an official video, the sound is no more than the cameras heard, i.e. less than you'd hear onstage without monitoring. 〜〜〜 [ UPDATED ] I don't know if somebody from a label has been on the warpath, but live tricot vids are disappearing from YouTube after only a day or two...

A couple of exciting moments on their recent charge through the UKThey're bored enough and confident enough to pull out new jams live. Tricot Yosoiki (Going Out) Europe Tour '172017 AUG 30 by Get A Ride in (03:58) Live in Glasgow, @broadcast 21 Aug 2017 Tricot Ochansensu-Su Europe Tour '172017 SEP 01 by Get A Ride in (03:22) Live in Glasgow, @broadcast 21 Aug 2017"Yosoiki" means going out in public, which is when you want to put on your best clothes, best manners, best face and all the rest of it. In this case, it's more a dissatisfied Ikkyu getting herself together in the morning to leave the place of some guy who can't be bothered to show her any consideration. "Ochansensu-Su" is explained as tricot inventing strange ways to refer to orange juice. They told the Fader in 2015 more or less that they'd been using the nonsense name as placeholder lyrics when they were working on the tune, and the phrase evidently stuck. O-chan would be a familiar way to say "Ms./Mr. O" and the rest is anybody's guess, except SENSU might be borrowed from the English "sense". When we get to "Sukima", which is Ikkyu lecturing God about this flawed creation (yep), that'd best be translated as "gap" with the understanding that it's a careless failure to prepare. Like when you put on armor in a hurry, and leave vulnerable chinks as a result. 〜〜〜〜 And an official video with 3 cameras. For this recording, they tried to inject some space into the songs and draw the audience in, which worked like a charm. tricot "SUKIMA - YOSOIKI" live at Bush Hall, London 25.8.20172017 SEP 01 by tricot Official Channel (10:10) 00:00 Sukima (Gap) 04:00 Ikkyu: "Did you know I can hit F# 6 ? From today, tricot is a 4-piece band once again. They thanked Komaki, but neither warmly nor especially respectfully. With the possible exception of him, nobody doesn’t like this long-awaited announcement. They’ll have a lot to look back on at the year-end party. That was one of the longest auditions in history.
