definitely better than the US cartoon version... although, I see the character designs on yours are based on the former image

They have Naoko's disease... they don't age That B&W studio shot was a pillar of the 2007 Fall Collection campaign for San Francisco clothiers Gap, Inc. I remember seeing it 15 feet tall, and slowing down traffic on a city street. Clearly their old photos are holding up very well, but I’m afraid that, like Naoko, PUFFY themselves are only too perishable. A couple of years ago there was a spate of activity around animated movies. Ami made it to a comic-con discussion panel about Teen Titans — in San Diego (?), maybe — and when Ami-Yumi appeared after having lain low for a while, the press had some quite cruel comments about looking old (Yumi) and fat (Ami). Girls Channel in particular made the effort to be hideous to Ami, which shocked me. 2013 March at an event to promote a children’s movie(JP language article at animeanime.jp)Segment bumper grabbed from a DVD (I think) around a dozen years earlierThe girls have had their problems. Yumi’s romances have quite publicly 2X shattered amid talk of infidelity, and Ami’s marriage to Teru Kobashi from GLAY is perpetually subject to speculation. But they meant it when they sang, “friends forever.” They’ve been playing dates in Japan this spring. It’s hard to get a look a good look at what they’re up to from the US. I think Sony’s stranglehold on international licensing might have something to do with that. Their official website is pretty cool. Relatively up to date, although no blog posts since February. Ami used to be all over that blog (the “Netscope Amigator”). Yumi was never quite such a good soldier for the company.

Not me, though.

O my gaw, there is even an ignominious video. They did this on live TV. PUFFY ceremonial opening day pitchFor Fukuoka Softbank Hawks Yahoo! Auctions Dome Takagaru Day 2015 June 21 That's almost the worst opening pitch in a whole gallery of clips... almost. Announcer skepticism justified. The website called it a "stunning" throw. I think Ami was topped by a girl in a bride's frock bowling the ball underhand. How many makeup artists did it take to put that much dirt on Yumi's uniform?

So relaxed and confident, it's almost TOO relaxed and confident. They really do make the stardom look pretty low-effort.
Of course, there's an extended team working to create smooth 70s space-disco oddness.

The pitch itself wasn't all that bad, she had the distance fine... her aim was jussssssst a little offffffffff!!!

Follow for Follow. PAFI– is in the middle of a 30-day tour for their 20th Anniversary compilation double album. It features their latest single and some earlier unreleased material, but I think I can resist. https://instagram.com/p/BEHgRBnv2_k Ami and Yumi have been spending a lot of their social media time with Bed-In. Here they are meeting up for a Puffy segment on "Sakigake! Music" for Fuji TV.

Sure 'nuff is. Anybody with an album and a current album tour is a photo-op friend to anybody else in the same boat. Even if their audiences don't exactly match up, there's always crossover. Me, for instance. More importantly, if they don't compete for the same demographic it's much better. The two parties aren't stealing from each other, and more editors will run the item closer to the top, because more total eyeballs will be interested in some aspect of the story. Win/win/win.
