WOW, we have hardened up our electro-techno look a lot. There was a time when Puffy could not possibly get frumpy enough. A small legion of fans imitated them through a phase of shapeless sweatshirts, baggy jeans with basketball shoes, questionable curly hair-dos. And the last time I looked they were cosplaying airline personnel. They might be serious about getting back in the game. That's good, there's nobody like Puffy!

I prefer the sexy version to this... grungy look The girls look very comfy in their plaid clown suits, I mean pajamas. To Puffy, sexy is a Puffy x Hello Kitty iPhone case, with Puffy at the top of the marquee: How did Sanrio ever buy into that thing? Is it just visionary marketing? Team Puffy plays with and subverts stardom, so I am on their bench. I'll carry their water. This could be a warmup for a world tour to be announced. La-la-la-lala ♪ ♥ ♪

I think you had it right, with "clown suits"; they are certainly going against the kawaii trend!

I think you had it right, with "clown suits"; they are certainly going against the kawaii trend! More Puffy put-ons: Yumi representing for a Starbucks co-marketing thing. Haha, I know that jersey! 666 was one heluva player. Something about this pair invites glamour professionals to turn into gonzo surrealists. A statue couldn't keep a straighter face.

They must be getting close to their 40s, another amazing example of how some Japanese women barely seem to age, neither one looks a day over 24!

They must be getting close to their 40s, another amazing example of how some Japanese women barely seem to age, neither one looks a day over 24! If I remember, Ami is about 40/41 and Yumi will be about 2 years younger. Very shocking! They've had an amazing career already and I hope they keep on going.. I thought their last album overall was their best in years. Maybe as good as (though in a different way) the Splurge album. In terms of appearance, to me they went from adorable to gorgeous.. but never really thought of them as 'sexy'. Always thought of that as a massive achievement in this day and age

Well-to-do matrons in a hotel sitting room. Yumi became a mom in 2012. You promised to take us shopping. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now aren't you glad we got something nicer than those old rags you made us wear?
