My screename is an inebriated misspelling of a nickname which I used when signing up to YT and for ease, also used here. It's a name which I was given at a very drunken party, many years ago. It started off with one of my very drunk mates standing in the middle of the room, pointing at me and shouting "You are Punk-a-Glory!" (partly something to do with my taste in music) and then it gradually got shortened to The Glor - because many punk bands have the word "The" at the beginning of their names , and now often its Glor. Hmm, perhaps by the time I'm a grumpy old pensioner, it will have shortened even more to "G", or perhaps "r", but more likely it will will wind up as "Grrr" because I'll be growling at "those pesky kids" and then shaking my walking stick at them and ranting. "You kids nowadays have got it easy, you don't know you've been born. Ee, when I was a lad we had it hard. B&W television that finished broadcasting by midnight. Then we all stood up for the national anthem before turning the telly off in-case it exploded during the night and killed us in our sleep. Then up to bed for an hours sleep before having to get up and walk 20 miles to a factory were we slaved for 18 hours of meaningless toil for a mere pittance – barely enough money to buy a bag of chips on the way home. And we were grateful...

Biko is the artist/stage name I use for my music What kind of music? And why biko? Mostly downtempo/chillout/ambient music. soundcloud.com/bikomusicI took the name Biko from a hip-hop song I liked at the time (A Tribe Called Quest's track 'Steve Biko (Stir It Up).' (It wasn't until afterwards that I found out the song was about Steve Biko the political activist) There's really no special meaning behind it for me personally, I just thought it sounded good so I've stuck with it ever since

Why Solingen...? Well...nowadays everything is 'made in China' ..but growing up as a kid, 'back home' most knives came from Solingen (Germany)and that was simply the first thing that popped into my head signing up. New German Band: Solingen Knife

...an all girl band making J-punk/pop/rock with heavy german accents and dressed in cosplay 'oktoberfest' outfits ?
Sure...I'd go and see it ;D

Mine means nothing at all. I chose it from a random list of words in a spam email I was sent. I went through a phase of choosing all my usernames like that.

And there was me thinking there must be some exotic meaning to your screenname, perhaps you're someone whose concerned about turtles breeding grounds and the dangers to their nests caused by people. Or maybe a dig at Eggweena Curry (remember her?), or even a crisis over the possibility of one particular egg having been fertilised.

Big reveal, my nick is nicked from “Deer Biscuits.” Naoko at her most prosaically poetic. When I went to the deer park I took crimson backpack Green, green grass at the deer park Tangerine sun and brown deer There you go — bland as a vacation travelogue, vivid as a box of crayons. I kind of want to hug the author of that song, partly because… WHY would ANYONE throw an ambling country & western changeup in the middle of _Super Group_? The album that still contains half the crowd-slaying arena rock in the SK setlist? More than one music critic completely failed to grasp it. \(-___- /

To me, it resembles Michie's "Expo 90", the most.
