I like the music that is included PRETTY LITTLE BAKA GUY. I like "I Wanna Eat Choco Bars" and "Kappa EX." in particular. I was very shocked when I heard the "Kappa EX." for the first time. This song had a loop in my brain as well the next day. "Kappa no ekisuda Chu Chu Chuuu"

And they just keep getting better and better! I swear, Shonen Knife is the only band that has never disappointed me in any way.

At least 5 of your songs were written by Michie! I miss her songwriting! Michie certainly had better quality control than Naoko, in my opinion. I often wonder why she didn't write more SK songs. It should probably have been more of a 50/50 split between the two, but it probably ended up being more like 80/20 (or perhaps even more in favour of Naoko) Maybe she was less confident about her writing? Maybe inspiration for her came less frequently? Maybe Naoko's leadership strength forced Michie to the back seat? Maybe a combination. Who knows? Not me.

Well, maybe Michie was just more of perfectionist, also, Michie thought of SK as a "hobby band", whereas Naoko eventually decided that SK would be her life's work and put more into it. (I will say that Naoko seems to be in pretty firm control of what SK "IS"; and was even then.)

Don't you just hate it when a mate turns up with his mp3 player asking it you can put something on it. He's a bit of a technophobe and hadn't dared to plug the thing into his computer. This is his first ever personal mp3 player. He'd come round with his new toy just after crimbo with some CDs and asked if I could sort it out for him. Damn modern electronics toys don't come with a printed instruction booklet and he was stumped. But he'd managed to figure out how to use its radio. So I helped him out and from sheer mischief I sneaked in a few extras for him. He went away happy. The next time I saw him he was still happy and mentioned the the SK stuff and other extras that I'd sneaked on to his new toy. Then he asked for more SK. "Somethimes when I come to visit you're playing Shonen Knife and there's this one song that I've heard a few times. I can't remember how it goes but have you any idea which one it is...?" "Um... That might be difficult" I replied. "But I've heard you play it quite a few times... How many of their albums have you got?" "About 20ish I guess." "Oh..." Ah well, it gives me the perfect excuse to play loads of SK whenever he's around and eventually he'll hear his favourite Shonen Knife song. But he still hasn't dared to plug his mp3 player into his computer in case it decides to fill his hard drive with music. "It is a gaming computer and not for anything else and I don't want to take the risk..."
