The NYC show was so good. It was [Atsuko's] enthusiasm that really won over the audience. She looked so happy to be there and it all looked so natural for her to be there. I've always though that SK needs to be a 4 piece band. She needs to be a part of it somehow. Rather jealous of you right now! Even if her status is Knife Emeritus, it sure felt good to see the family blog getting updates. To me, it *is* a family band, just with a wider than expected family. That's the main reason I feel so much empty air when a member takes off never to be heard from again. Yeah, I know it's a business first, but I like a "once a knife, always a knife" membership policy. It's such a struggle getting to rehearsals on time from LA, though. 12 hours flying is bad enough, but the real hassle is the freeways.

I hope Emi doesn't disappear into nothingness like Etsuko and Michie. I also hope Atsuko stays with her sister in future projects, and Ritsuko will return at some point. The idea of SK as a four piece would be nice, there are many guitar riffs from the studio versions that are not heard on the live versions and adding Ritsuko on guitar could free up Naoko to be able to play the melodic lead lines. Maybe I fantasize to much? Naoko has a lot of work ahead of her if she wants to keep the energy up and the ball rolling. What an incredible woman!

I had the privilege of seeing them as a 4 piece band on the Osaka Ramones tour a few years back.
Ritsuko on guitar and CJ Ramone on bass. What a sound!

It would be great if Atsuko could come back but, it's unlikely she would do it on a long term basis, she tried that, back in the day and found the travelling from LA to Osaka a bit too much for her.

Unless SK inflate their front line to three pieces, all the seats are full anyway. Star reliever Nauru's on the team as long as required/desired, and Mystery Drummer is standing just out of sight in the wings
MYSTERY POST-712 DRUMMER BETTING POOL: NOW OPEN
Nobody in the general area of Osaka and eastward is coming to mind. Of course, I have thought about this for 6 entire seconds.

Of course, I have thought about this for 6 entire seconds. Well, it may be a longshot, but, I think the fact that Etsuko's baby is now school age, could mean she's coming back, who knows?

Naoko just posted on FB they are at LAX waiting for their flight to Osaka... I'm 30 minutes away, lol! Hurry Eric, Hurry! The flight leaves at 1:50, it's now 8:33...
I think that would be called "stalking"?

I think that would be called "stalking"? Security to Terminal B, we have a fan. Tom Bradley International Terminal. I drive a Sprinter van, there is NO parking in LAX for my oversized vehicle. Believe me, I was so tempted. On top of the "Ultra Mix" LP purchased yesterday, I also snagged a CD of "Let's Knife", again the only SK CD/LP/DVD in the entire store. "Excuse me Naoko-san, Emi-san, and Naru-san, can you please autograph this copy of "Let's Knife?" There's still time...

So, it seems Naoko's flight was delayed at LAX and thus she missed her connecting flight and got stuck at Tokyo-Haneda till sometime their Wednesday. I assume this was you?

Yes of course. I found Naoko's guitar from 2010 and had to stop the plane to give it to her. I'm her Knight In Shining Armor now...

Is Naoko trying to tell us something in a rather polite way?
