Wonderful! No surprise seeing Serge Gainsbourg either, but Jesus and Mary Chain... just proves it was not one monolithic scene at all.
Boy do I hate liking Gainsbourg's stuff. It was Mick Harvey on furlough from the Bad Seeds who introduced me to SG. How's that for weird?

Time for another track from Overdose! This time, P5 bring the funk.
Pizzicato Five, “Hippie Day” Overdose, Triad/Columbia COCA-11999 (1994)
Akira Okazawa is credited on bass. Nobody is credited for the trumpet part swiped from "Soulful Strut" and “Am I The Same Girl?”

Well done Barry Walters! That's like a college lecture in a box. It's hard on my inner geek, though, that guy is now raging around in his cage.
BW didn't need to snark on grunge, though. Grunge was the solution to vapid pop and flaccid rock. Who else kept the loud, guitar-driven song vital -- Marilyn Manson?

Hey, thanks for all these! I am having a little trouble keeping up. Also, the computer's hard drive is wobbling.

Oh... fine, on her it looks good. There's probably a KISS dimension that you have to be Japanese to perceive.
It's the roleplay, right? The melodrama? Mötley Crüe's mechanized spectacles just rate a shrug...

Best use of passenger train window since The Chemical Brothers' "Star Guitar."
