This is a topic unto itself, and a small load of them have been recorded. So put 'em here, why not, instead of all over.
Parasite Diet
June 13, 2015
Shonen Knife were so damn good
They caught the Nashville show at the Mercury Lounge. From Facebook.
It's a… sincere tribute! Although possibly, a tribute to the Ramones.
And they worked on the words.
I not too sure about that weebling synthesizer.
From their album of last May, Coast to Coast.

Introducing Pop-Punk Act: Parasite Diet (for fans of The Queers)

"We were in another band together but we wanted to play with some sounds
we couldn’t really mess with in that context. Our mutual love for power pop and
early Lookout Records style pop punk, cartoons, and Mystery Science Theater 3000
triggered the whole thing…"
In addition to SK, PD have covered They Might Be Giants (naturally),
Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark ("Enola Gay") and… Neil Diamond.
They told the interviewer for Dying Scene that their name is about actually
eating parasites, which is "big in Japan" and he let it go at that.
Um, OK — no. A parasite diet is for getting *rid* of intestinal parasites.
