Shonen Knife Headed For Down Under Adventure2017 AUG 13 by Tim Byrnes for scenestr.com.au (online news site of Eyeball Media) scenestr.com.au/music/shonen-knife-headed-for-down-under-adventure "…after I grew up and got some age [sic], I began to find that '70s classical rock music is great because I like guitar riffs, and also melody lines are usually very pop and very catchy and easy. Also, ['70s metal] bands were wearing very cool stage costumes with long hair, so I like that.”Naoko, Naoko, Naoko. If you want to be Ritchie Blackmore, then… just go for it. Get a Strat. Nancy's new name is Wonderbeast... hmm... I wonder what she thinks of that.
My younger brother lives in Ulla Dulla, probably a million kilometers from any SK shows. I'm going to send him the above tour announcement flyer.

Nancy's new name is Wonderbeast... hmm... I wonder what she thinks of that. My younger brother lives in Ulla Dulla, probably a million kilometers from any SK shows. I'm going to send him the above tour announcement flyer. Sydney or Canberra, unless it's somehow worth the trek west to Adelaide for the OzAsia Festival. He's only got to go 125 miles or so. No excuses if tickets are available!

It's not very clearly worded, but I think what Valve mean is that they're offering a never-before mini-compilation of existing studio tracks to which Valve already owns the right to reproduce and distribute. They've figured out that there's some money to be made selling specialities at gigs with few-to-no added supply chain costs. This is an indie label copying the DIY schemes of indie artists. It would be a pretty good production feat if they could sell a live recording of a tour, throughout the very same tour it's a live recording of. ——— Valve get to sell things they have already sold, again, to some of same people. Wonderbeast of Japan get a new selection of old work catering to collectors, but especially to first-time listeners. Maybe they'll become hardcore and maybe they won't. Either way we've tapped them for a souvenir record.

Nancy has a new name, lol! Well, she's got her nickname all picked out since years ago. Valve's feature writer for Consume used it for the whole band, and I like it, so now to me Shonen Knife = Wonderbeast of Japan. I don't have an image for this, though. Maybe a fluffy rainbow capybara. User submissions are encouraged.

They decided to start without me, I see. Fine. Bon voyage! The Australia & New Zealand tour starts soon! From Los Angeles to Brisbane. Here we go! I'm looking forward to it!Naoko flew out from under another typhoon, which passed just in time. Hare-on'na is a kind of weather witch who brings sunshine along with her. Part of Naoko's legend is that this mojo is hers. As expected, a hare-on'na ☀️ Safe travels 🛫 🌈 Good flying! Nonstop flight, that's good. 😏 Eehh naaa… Naoko and Risa were in the air over 12 hours, Atsuko nearly 14. Just remember to walk around every couple of hours. The airport in Singapore sent the guitar the wrong way. They did it! The guitar finally arrived!I don't really understand the soft bag strategy, I guess it's a tacit plea not to throw the instrument clear across the baggage hold. No way can that be the holy pink FGN. Oh but it can. The airline misplaced the irreplaceable. 🐨 Shonen Knife 🐨 Australia · New Zealand tour 🎸 Success / safety prayers 🙏🏼 Itte (*'ᵕ'*)ノ" rasshai ♪ * ゚ #AratateShrine#MiraiBangi"Safe (*'ᵕ'*)ノ" travels" ♪ * ゚ They went out of their way, to a neighboring prefecture, to get some prayers in at Aratate. It's written up as a quiet, highly rustic little shrine with 7 wooden sounding boards situated around the grounds. The plate with the twin hearts is an extra board hanging directly out in back. From what I could gather, the actual Mirai Bangi or Future Board is not this. The kami of this shrine is a specialist in wedded bliss, but they say it's good for travel, too. The cedar woods surrounding it gets top reviews as a power spot. You strike seven times to have your prayer heard. Good job, it obviously worked.

Wonderbeast the Arrivening Just imagine I loaded this up with sparkles, smilies, flowers and happy suns. And ramen.A quick look around shows Australia already has its own Wonderbeast. Wonderbeast progressive metal band based around the Macedon Ranges in Victoria, Australia.
Wonderbeast combine folk, Celtic, orchestral, and metal musics. They didn't say "musicks", is that a typo? They live in memory, having pulled the plug in 2014. Still, the "of Japan" tag is going to be essential going forward. It'll be just the same as "X Japan", which doesn't hurt too much.

Risa tour-blogging like a championI updated my blog, Australia & New Zealand Tour September 20!!She sure did, while the oba-sans were shopping, snoozing or playing tennis I guess. So diligent, all alone she blogged like no tomorrow!! That's what comes of leaping time zones. From Risa Australia & New Zealand Tour September 20!! 2017/09/20 (Wed) www.shonenknife.net/blog/archives/26365Band rehearsal was at a music store that had but one tom tom and one crash cymbal. We're used to better but we don't complain. This would be to confirm that the main bits of gear are still working after the trip, while there's still time left to fix anything that broke. Australia's Hawaiian pizza is defined as pineapple and cheese with salami. I don't know if that's a mis-ID for ham or Spam. Too much pork gyoza and curried chicken, and Regurgitator covered the Velvet Underground, which Risa likes. Points. Tomorrow's the kickoff show. She seems to be writing all her own original English, much respect. Drawings are still drownings, though. How do I tell her that these are rarely the same thing. Naoko's not providing any editorial review.
