All over but the blogging Should be caught up by 712 Day at least
Two straight sets, no sign of any threat. Where is your jet shot now? CRYING, Naoko said. Sister Atsuko, it wasn't strictly necessary to post the score.
I came home to Japan yesterday and now I'm heading for Ōita and Mother.
Quite a while since the little honey bear has been to the homestead. Naru congratulated her on the US tour, Ritsuko teased her about tapping into Mom's home cooking.
Osaka means now we eat exactly what we want.

Sled Island, here we come
Whoa, Duotang! http://instagr.am/p/BULZoMajR3B Sometimes Good Charamel makes it sound like they consider Sled Island to be Ramen Adventure Part 2. The 1am time slot is like an early 5pm show on Japan Time. Maybe this is good for jet lag. Not for driving out the next morning, though.

Naoko's beverage after show in LA:) Yes she did, and I was right next to her when she ordered it! We were like two people that have known each other for a long time just hanging out at the bar of the Bootleg. We chatted a little, she signed my new (to me) Candy Rock CD cover, got a selfie together, then talked a little more. She was in a big time hurry but still took the time to acknowledge the Broccoli Man as a friend and fan. What a woman! Then I think it was Lazybone who came over and got his picture with her. So the next time I went to my local watering hole I ordered a whiskey/soda, drank it in honor of Naoko, and IT WAS GREAT!!

Is that the back of my head? I could have untied her shoe, that's how close I ended up by the end of the night. The guy in front of me left and I offered that spot to the cute Asian girl that was next to me all night (she actually ended up in front of me, I had to be careful where my hands were) but she politely refused so I moved in. Take 2:I didn't realize there was a video inside of the picture, very nice trick you did there... Yes, that is definitely the back of the Broc's head in your video, definitely my Bootleg wristband on my left wrist, definitely me taking a couple of pictures at the the end, and definitely the cute little Asian girls delicate hands clapping next to my head at the end of the song.

Japan’s indie rockers Shonen Knife aim to make you smile
2017 MAY 18 by Jason Bracelin for the Las Vegas Review-Journal www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/music/japans-indie-rockers-shonen-knife-aim-to-make-you-smile/ “I love Las Vegas,” [ Naoko ] says. “I have been to Vegas three times. Two times were for my holidays. I lost some money, but I enjoyed buffet and Cirque du Soleil’s ‘O’ and the Beatles cover band show. They were so fun!”One of the most rippin’ tracks from “Adventure” is “Rock’n’Roll T-Shirt,” a celebration — what else? — of the cherished concert tee. What’s Yamano’s favorite? “My favorite rock and roll T-shirt so far is Judas Priest’s ‘British Steel’ shirt,” she says. “I bought it at their concert in Osaka, Japan. I really like their music.
I keep most of all our T-shirts at home. I recently took pictures of them. I have a plan to archive at our website.”#concert #review #interview

That little "preview" piece made me smile. Especially as the pic of SK on stage was one for a gig I was at way back in 2012, in a rather odd venue, The Glee Club in Birmingham (England). It was a fairly large room, a good chunk of which was barricaded off to protect the gloomy empty space. Here's a nice vid to go with the above preview. I was over at Ritsuko's side of the stage, but I can't remember if it took any pics or video. Shonen Knife Live @ The Birmingham Glee Club 08/10/21012 HD 'RUBBER BAND' Youtube upload by ra999

Killer clip! La Taneda is a little bit on fire, and Emi. I think they all like what they're playing. FYI, we have a nice and empty-ish thread exactly for documenting this priceless tour, right over here: shonenknife.proboards.com/post/19917/thread

I've since remembered that I did have my camera with me that night in Birmingham, but not what sort of use I made of it. I vaguely remember getting the camera out while I was stood in the merch queue at the end of the gig, but I've no idea where that memory card is likely to be hiding. Must start some sort of filing system - or at least try to put everything in one place. I'll have to get searching through piles of kipple and hunt out some memory cards. Then with a bit of headscratching something might happen.

What's funny is my youngest son works at that very place. Usually it's for the Michael Jackson Show or the Ka Show, but the other day he was bragging to me that they had put him in the Beatles store at Cirque du Soleil.
