Big thanks for vote list. My favourite songs: Not on list: Miracles, Cherry Bomb, Watchin' Girl, Suzy Is A Headbanger. Not played: Anime Phenomenon, Cobra vs Mongoose, BBQ Party, A Day At The Factory, Kappa-Ex, It's A New Find, Public Bath, Space Christmas, Tortoise Brand Pot Cleaner Played: One Week (wow), Riding On The Rocket, Twist Barbie, Giant Kitty, Buttercup (I'm A Supergirl), Cycling Is Fun That's OK. There were a few songs that I had hoped would make it onto the voting list, but weren't there. Watchin' Girl was the first one that I looked for and also Summertime Boogie was one that I had hoped to get to vote for. Tetsuowan Atom would also have been on my fantasy list.

Here is my latest offering from Shonen Knife's final gig of their European tour. The last part of their main set. I was torn over whether or not to upload this clip, so while it's processing, Ill tell a bit about it. We were lucky enough to get to experience the joy of that great and rare song One Week, one of the songs that I'd voted for. It was unfamiliar enough to most of the gig goers to not have any singing along until the final burst of “One week, one week, one week, one week...”. But, drifting in and out of audibility during this song, if you listen very carefully, you can hear the terrible voice of a singing cameraman Sorry guys, try to ignore it. Next is Buttercup (I'm A Super Girl), were someone proclaims to the world that he's a punky girl (Mikado prepare yourself for tasteless selfies in school uniform) and the crowd go wild with a certain amount of stage fallers, but I don't remember anyone going completely flat on the stage. Straight on into Riding On The Rocket. At 6.31 there is a horrible rapid camera pan from one side of the stage to the other. That is where if it hadn't been able to make a grab for the monitor speakers just in-front of me, I would have joined the stage-fallers. I managed to continue filming and to not go all the way down, but I also couldn't get back up due to the press of bodies from behind me and slowly continued collapsing towards Naoko's speaker stand. Eventually I also had to use my camera hand to hold myself up, which was when Sasquatch grabbed hold of me and pulled me up again. Phew. Yes, lying prostrate at Naoko's feet would be a great place to be, but there is a time and a place for that sort of thing. At the end of that song, there's a bit lovely bit of feedback while the camera is pointing at a slightly bemused looking Ritsuko. This is when me and the lad standing next to me are pulling one of the monitor speakers further away from Naoko's pedal board again while she quickly checks the leads plugged into it. We had already pulled it back a bit (on a number of occasions), but Naoko made it clear that she wanted it moved a bit further away. Big Cat. What to say about this one. Ritsuko's hair goes wild. The crowd loved it. I had wanted to capture the glory of Emi thrashing the drums at the end of the song, but the lights got the better of me. Um, towards the end of the song Naoko takes her mike out of the stand and holds it out above the crowd. She briefly glances down at me, and sees me slowly shaking my head, in a “Please don't point that thing at me!” sort of way. I didn't want that song to have to hit the cutting room floor. It had now done its HD thing so here it is youtu.be/oo7cwZi6JHsnaoko big catemi big catritsuko big hair cat

Ha ha! I hadn't noticed at the time how bemused Rits-chan looked, she even looks bemused in a totally sexy way!! If it wasn't for thegl0r's fantastic youtube vids then I simply couldn't believe that it was possible to have such a good time whilst fully dressed, without the vids I would have believed that it all had been just a fantastic dream!!!

Ritsuko's "Cycling is Fun"Cycling Is Fun Whoa Whoa YAY Lol2017 MAY 18 by Jamie IXI (01:39) Cycling Is Fun Whoa Whoa YAY LolBasement dweller Jamie |X| a.k.a Smooth Mario divides his energies between music videos with Asian girls and blood-spattered computer shooters, sometimes both at once. From the 2013 tour of UK and EU, by the presence of Naoko's pretty white Aria DM-01 and the lack of any silver sparkle suits. Maybe some else can recognize the venue by its featureless stage.
