Here is one rather interesting post from NO CARS about their forthcoming gig on Friday, February 19th.
It won't be as good as being there, but still should be great fun. Wish I could be there, a great band in a cool venue.

Annoyingly I was not only unable to get to that particular NO CARS gig, but also I wasn't able to watch the gig streaming live - there was too much buffering going on. So I had to watch it later. The video is the whole evenings entertainment and NO CARS set starts at 01.01.01 Before that you get another band and the thrill of watching NC set up and a run through of Line Check. 'Cos I wasn't there I missed out on my 15 minutes of internet fame. There'd have been people all over the net betting on when the knackered old guy at the front of the stage would fall over. Yeh, the photographer in the red t-shirt stole my spot! ps here's a rather nice interview with NC at their previous gig at The Spice of Life. diversejapan.com/2016/02/19/interview-no-cars-talk-samosa-cress-and-the-mystery-of-yoko/

Line Check rocks, they should flesh it out for real. I'm serious, it's a great idea to have a check-song for when you have to set up live, and it'd be like them. I'll always be grateful to Underbelly for saving me a precious hour.

They shall replace bassist or ?? I'm given to understand that Takaco will be back in a few months. I've got at least 1 (hopefully 2) NO CARS gigs lined up for later this week, so it will be interesting to see who is on bass, I'm assuming it will be Mayu who helped out at the last gig.

That's a really nice recording from the Spice of Life! Although the guest stars, People in Coats, were upstaging the band at a couple of points.

People in Coats often seen at gigs with those other guest stars The Tossers Who Talk Loudly Even When The Band Is Playing, can't seem to get away from those guys.

Two NO CARS in 12 hours (give or take a few minutes!) yep it was Mayu on bass, but talking to Haruna after the second gig there will be a a new bassist next month as Mayu is going back to Japan. 'What!?' said the Sasquatch 'But I've already fallen in love with Mayu!'

Haruna really burns through the bass players, but you'll like the next one too.

Ah, Mayu, don't go! The UK needs all the cute Japanese bass players that we can get. I'll have to write a letter to my local MP to get a law quickly passed through parliament to stop the re-exporting of any cute Japanese bass players that enter the country. I'm sure that all right minded politicians will see the sense in that. mayu on bass at union chapel 2016-02-27

Thanks, I did! The Indian eye makeup is getting better and better, I think. The vicar who introduced them was stooping to the microphone, and still it was a foot too tall for Haruna.
