Shy, retiring Kimchinyun from Dead Gakkahs surrounded by members of Find The Spot (I think). Or maybe they are *at* The Spot...Since the buckets don't grow, but the content grows and changes forever, my vote is for a separate AsiaPac Pop/Rock subforum, with threads for K-punk, C-punk, whatever-punk or alt or rock or pop or trad or underground or... That way, when an exciting grinder guitar band shows up in the Philippines, we already have a way to deal with it that doesn't break anything else. Serious, or sarcasm?

I so dam seriuos. This is all from the first 3 weeks in September at the Unite Asia music blog. Final Attack (Jakarta, Indonesia) From Dust and AshesOMG did someone say grindcore on BandcampAs King Ly Chee says, don’t waste a moment further. Press play and move the furniture out of the way. Riflekid (Manila, Philippines) I Was a RatPunk guitar-pop rock on BandcampPop-punk rock just like they did it 15 years ago in SoCal, when guitars mattered. Take-Off (Singapore) This is Punk Rock. This is for You. Nerd/pop-punk rock on BandcampEven if blink-182 existed and had modern production, they still would have to admit these guys do their sound better than they could.

Well, it's impossible for me to change the way the boards are set up, but, if you want to start threads for K-pop, Chinese, w/e, BE MY GUEST

Yeah, we've all gone way off topic. I feel partly to blame. Though I will always be in debt to Tang for introducing me to the Dead Gakkahs. Perhaps we could have a 'Check out this cool band I've discovered' thread?

Off Topic: What other bands do you like? pretty much is that thread already.
Starting new topic threads is never a problem, but there's no appropriate place to organize material about bands that aren't Japanese.
Also, dead limbs like "Special Report on Fukushima" never go away. Not that Fukushima will ever be over, only that it's no longer special and perhaps not as forum-related as Dead Gakkahs.
Basically, we're living like squatters in an abandoned structure with no owner... and that does put some limits on our ability to have nice things.

SHEESH... You sure know how to hurt a guy But it's not that — Mom ran off to New Orleans and took the keys and left nothing but a pallet-load of Pop-Tarts. It was all lies, about that city fellow featuring her as a singer in his nightclub.

Recent good stuff!! Enjoy! I guess they had to turn it down to 4 for the venue — Ruloorala Cafe & Restaurant. Seems like they have a concert series to combat dead Monday nights called MONDAY SEOUL. I hope that's a pun. The other sets I've seen from Monday Seoul skew toward electric folk and soft-rock. 22 seconds of YA-YA-YA from a club suitably called BBang ("bread", but sounds like BANG): AugustSalt Twitter status 2016 Feb 12 - 0801 AMAlso, found this clip from the same night: 160212 룩앤리슨 - Ready to Go + 19 @ BBang2016 February 12 by 유숭숭 (02:52) My two faves back to back. I bet they open that way a lot.

At the end of the clip, they seem so pleased and surprised that it's working! I wonder if they're extra-tense in Korea these days, or if it's more business as intolerably usual.

Hmmm.... Jungmin looked better with long hair and Misook looked better with short hair (Because of their face shapes), but, the important thing is they are still a great punk band.
