-—-—--—-—--—-—- I think you just said you miss Michie, there. Although everybody gets less innocent-wacky as they go along. MN might be a medical claims adjuster now, denying health benefits to people all day every day. Eww, feeling a little sick now myself. Yes I miss Michie!!! She could write some beautiful music. When I play SK for first time listeners the songs are usually Michie songs. Such a talent. I hope she's doing well wherever she is. Ritsuko is an amazing performer, but Michie will always be my favorite SK bassist. And that's really interesting about Mr. Noda, Broccoli Man. It definitely seems like there could be a connection there.

I agree, while I think that Naoko is an amazing songwriter, able to write cute songs about pretty much anything, Michie's songs were, as a rule, more commercial , but, also catchier; when I want to intro someone to SK, I usually start with Michie's "Watchin' Girl" (The only Michie song I can think of, where Naoko does the lead vocals).

And that's really interesting about Mr. Noda, Broccoli Man. It definitely seems like there could be a connection there. I Googled Shonen Knife Mr. Noda, and here's what came up: In the "Bad Luck Song" video from Overdrive - Masahiro Noda (Lighting Craft). There's an M and a R in his first name... PLBG + Live In Japan came out around 15 years before Overdrive. Noda is a very common Japanese name I do believe, so the chances of my buddy Dennis being the mysterious Mr. Noda seem slim, though that sure would be cool if the two were really the same guy! Another plot to research "when I get a chance".
