There has been the current trend of bands performing their classic album or albums. Although I don't think Shonen Knife's following would ever garner a showcase tour I imagine this is the album that would be it. Some (definitely not me) would probably say, Let's Knife, but that's not a proper album just a catch-up album/compilation and a few additional songs to introduce the band to a larger more commercial audience. While I prefer the much more polished versions of the songs on Let's Knife; I also enjoy these early versions for their own considerable charm.

Awesome, thanks! Do you have おサカナ大行進 (Osakana Daikoushin, aka Fish Parade) or Suzy Is A Headbanger (specifically the version on that release, it's live 1988 and NOT the version from "We Are Very Happy You Came" which is from 1991). I know Suzy was from that PLBG release but I've a feeling Fish Parade might have been from a different PLBG release?

That one has been on my To Get list for ages. I'll try and get round to uploading the Suzy Is A Headbanger (live 1988) for you soonish - probably over the weekend.

As well as those two, also on the want list is Aijin & Power Of Money, but unless they randomly appear on youtube one day I don't think we'll ever get them.

Aijin (Mistress) came on a flexi-disc with the Sound and Vision magazine from Kyoto. #2. Shonen Knife sings a karaoke version of an original tune by Teresa Teng. Release date: April 1986. I've occasionally seen it come up for sale, but have foolishly resisted. I have seen The Power Of Money come up for sale as a CDR when I had no money. But haven't seen it since. The guy was pirating all sorts of stuff at reasonable prices. I guess he got stopped. Doh!

Never seen THAT pic, before... pics of the gals in the "playing card" smocks are rare to begin with, this one must be amongst the rarest!
ps- Another example of how Naoko looks hotter now, than she did in her late 20s!
