This girl is high energy and appears to be very active in her day to day life. There's no anorexia here. I don't understand why someone would even bring this up. She's been putting in the hours getting ready for the next Dokuros gig. This is probably a sexist comment but I've never met a woman who doesn't think she's overweight. Practicing in a skirt, it kind of has to be Dokuros ⬆︎That's my take as well, but if you're convinced there's a tiger in the grass, it's not hard to spot where the thing must be lurking. Is that the wind, or... ??!!! What I'd say is, I haven't met any woman ever who didn't care at all if *you* thought she was overweight. 'Cause that's how to get written off as second-class merch. The sexist part I think is the global condition, not so much noticing that the condition exists. IMHOFWIWWTFBBQ... 〜〜〜〜〜 Emi says there's a Dokuros show on the 9th at their regular haunt, Takutaku. They're opening for Monotsuki, who have a new release to tour on. BIG TEASE: And after that, since I was personally invited to an intriguing event in September, I'm in buoyant spirits and training extra hard. More announcements later.
All righty, then! When Emi trains hard, it's like the Olympics.

"The skulls are first strike and they cling to it from 19 o'clock" Asako WARNING: DO NOT LOOK INTO THE ALGORITHM Wokay... if you let it, Google will hand you that, as well as: • Doczroz is the first stronghold and will be sticking from 19 o'clock! • Dokurozu'll do a whole bunch from 19 o'clock in the bat first It sounds like they're planning to occupy the place and beat up a lot of hostages… but they're just using sports jargon. Dokurozu wa senkou de 19-ji kara gattsuri yarimasu!Senkou is "attack precedence" but in Japanese baseball, it's the term for being first up at bat. Batting team attacks, fielding team defends. Yarimasu is to play or perform if it's a concert situation. How are they going to play? In a gutsy manner. Gattsuri, from gattsu, guts In spectator sports, the Guts Pose is triumphantly puffing up your chest and raising your arms in victory. YES!!! Pump your fist if you really, really nailed it. They're getting a lot of use out of these photos from Kyoto U. http://instagr.am/p/BXNx_32l8q8 8/9 🌞 DOKUROS LIVE!! We were invited to the Monotsuki "inframince" release tour, Kyoto Edition!
By all means, please come and play! Reply reservations OK 👌 Dokuros have the first at-bat starting 7pm, we will play with all our might! 8/9 (Weds) at TakutakuAppearing ▶︎ Dokuros / Monotsuki from Tokyo [ Guests Tomo Kawasaki (tenor sax) and Masaho Murakami (percussion) of THE FOOLS ]〜〜〜 The guest percussionist is along for at least a couple of dates in Osaka and Kyoto. The saxophonist appears with Monotsuki from time to time. Kawasaki is a veteran blues and jazz player formerly of aburanaburi. I can't tell for sure if his name is pronounced Tomo or Satoru or something else. He seems to have no use for the internets. Drummer Murakami is unusually available, since according to The Fools' website, their leader is in jail until November. 〜〜〜 I just learned what a Reply Reservation is. ① Band announces a show on social media ② If you book by DM, that's a "verbal" reservation ③ If you go to their website, you fill out an email message form④ They *reply* to your email address ⑤ Things can be more sophisticated, or less, depending ⑥ You pay by card, by webcash... at the door... they'll probably let you cancel with notice It's pretty much word of honor, between parties who may never have met. Why didn't Ticketmaster think of this?

The typhoon is coming, but donning rubber boots and wearing a raincoat, I went to the studio today as well. I was hearing B.J. Thomas's "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" by the end of setup. Well then, play the drums 🥁⚡️ The day after tomorrow 8/9 (Wed) is docuros, live at Kyoto Takutaku. Come, OK? 🤗
During individual practice the guitar amp could be seen from the drum set. Because the Hughes & Kettner looked so beautiful, like a factory district at night, I couldn't help myself. I powered it on to no purpose, put out the room lights, and played for a bit 🌃 entranced.

Emi tweets have been running in pairs, setup and punchline.
Takutaku last night. To all of you who came to the docuros/Monotsuki live, thank you very much. Next time is a little way off, 11/3 at Musica Japonica!
Good thing you got the washing done earlier, isn't it?
It's a pleasant sunny day for drying laundry, right? The futon and sheets are all clean, and now I'm thinking what to wear to the live today. Tonight 8/9 is Kyoto Takutaku. Monotsuki with dokuros. We play from 7pm. Definitely come visit us 🌞🌛
Odd to realize that everything else on the clothesline looks familiar, too. Do I get a merit badge, or do I need other occupations? Neither? Both?

Monkey Emi is a headache For a sound guy who's just trying to do his job
With "Whatever is playful is serious" as my motto, and in spite of Tsuruta-kimi on the Takutaku PA telling us it was uncool, last night for no real reason I thought to try raising the crash cymbal to its ultimate limit. It was fresh and fun. 😁
That's what you see in the re-tweeted video clip from IGGROCK(★). 02:20 of bumptious drumming for a bouncy skiffle tune called "Sakete (Let's Avoid It)", with Emi's crash waving around upstairs like a Cinzano cafe umbrella on a windy day.
MUTON drops her guitar pick and retrieves it like a sleepwalker. Doesn't matter a bit, the docuros' vibe is impregnable. Who knows if she's even plugged in.
The clip looks surprisingly good expanded to full width.

The sound of one shoe droppingThe other one from her info-tease before, I mean 9/9 (Sat), having formed a band called The Endless Party, we'll appear at the Nagasaki Art Festival. The [ other ] members are two local musicians and Tomo-chan ex Thee 50's High Teens. I'll be reporting regularly on details. The link in the tweet is to a page at motion-gallery.net promoting the First Nagasaki Art Festival, September 09/10. It develops that the whole deal is cloud-funded by contributions, so the feel of it is a lot like a city-wide open festival, come one, come all. Emi's band-for-a-day is described as "garage rock, etc." Basically, the house band for September 09 activities at primary festival venue INDIES ART CLUB and GALLERY. I'm sure Emi got tapped almost the minute they thought of this, because she's was a hit at the same venue a year ago, playing in a pickup all-stars band called the Tightropes, organized by eccentric genius Hatch Hatchell, with bassist/vocalist Tomo, who's a legend in her hometown of Fukuoka to the North. Nagasaki is an arts town, they'll have you recall. Its crossroads geographic location, the history of its free trade portal on the island of Dejima, the vibrant city culture… the importance to local merchants of enticing outsiders with spending money… In the top video, from 01:24–02:14 there are music clips featuring Emi at Indies Art Club with the Tightropes. From 02:15 on, it's Hiroshi Shimizu, the world's most high-tension comedian and the old impresario dudes continuing their conversation at the club over cups of tea.

Nagasaki Arts Festival safely through opening weekend
The Nagasaki Art Festival 9/9. The endless party. The members are: on bass, TOMO ex. Thee 50's High Teens. On guitar, Ōta Gou-san and on keyboards, Ōta Go-san Finalist Miyashou-san! Sub-guitar Suta Kaneko-san, who works for various bands in Nagasaki! And, me.
The Nagasaki Art Festival, at the launch. The rap session of my dreams with Azenjiro-san and standup comedian Hiroshi Shimizu. I think that in the nearfuture, the day will come when we can unveil it to everyone. The end of a day that was like a dream. Goodnight.
We all dream about different things.
Here, Emi-san, you're welcome (lol)
The lol-ing is because mic-master-san has gotten stuck in a freestyle rap, chanting oppai (tits) over and over like a broken record.
"Yabai, the clip is from midnight lol," says Emi. "Thanks very much to the Nagasaki Art Festival."
〜〜〜
It looks like the party you wish would end, but the comment will set the record straight.
The endless party. We finished the live date at the Nagasaki Arts Festival. No, it was a thrilling and fun show this time. I don't know anything about the upcoming schedule, but I think that we'll be joined by affinity again. Gou-san, Miyasho-san, emi-chan, TOMO-chan, thank you very much. The shachuuhaku.
Shachuuhaku is spending the night in a vehicle, usually your own car. No, I don't really know what's up with that.

My first tornado 🌪 🍺
What unholy technology underlies this bottoms-up beer vortex, I don't even want to know. If they're flash-reconstituting dry beer powder with carbonated water under pressure, they still couldn't surprise me.
Wherever did the typhoon go?
Not afraid of no storm. Here's a wine Y.

Double nostalgia Here is the townhouse where I spent my days as a student. Previously operated as a cafe by the name of Hidamari, regrettably it went out of business. Last year it was renovated as Guesthouse KIOTO. I thought I'd never be let inside again.
For the first time in more than 10 years, time-slip into my room from my student days.
www.kioto-kyoto.com/I had sort of decided on ignoring this, but it seems I can't completely do it. Looks like KIOTO did a nice job of rehabbing the interiors, at least. Check the online brochure. This place must be haunted by the spirits of many generations of overwrought university kids. She doesn't say what room, but add this site to your Shonen Knife pilgrimage map. What a great idea, we need one of those.

Emi marks the seasonHaiku it's not, but almost in the ballpark. Yuugure-ji no otera no keidai Ki no BENCHI ni nekkorogaru to Taiyou no yonetsu de Senaka wa hokahoka attakakute Kaze wa hin'yari tsumetakute Kimochii〜i | Twilight on the temple grounds As I fall asleep on the wooden bench In the sun's afterheat My back feeling toasty warm The breeze feeling chilly cold Feels niiiiice |
Deep red higanbana! It's autumn…
She's talking about the red spider lily or Chinese cluster amaryllis. In the summertime they go dormant and their leaves drop off. Then they bloom suddenly in fall rains, so are also known in the southeastern US as hurricane lilies. They're signs of the season, and now grow perenially in hot areas where they've been planted, especially cemeteries and old ricefields. Considered a mournful omen. Like a lot of their relatives, they're rather poisonous to humans and animals (don't eat the bulbs). Not as bad as the Easter lily though. Seems we're having a lot of rainy days this week. Recently on a sunny day The remaindered wellies I bought Make a very fine showing ☔️ 👢 ✨ ✌️

Dokuros spirit by exampleMovie followed by stacked photos Trying to use personal mobile technology while schnozzled. Guess which of the hyaena-like laughter belongs to a certain Emi-knife. She'll show you her fuzzy beige tubular hat in the bottom photo. http://instagr.am/p/BcOrWyGlQd3 Yesterday at Kyoto KBS Hall, we had an appearance at MONSTER RENAISSANCE!
Since there'd been a show at Shimokitazawa 440, when we came straight back to Kyoto Station on the bullet train the next day, there was a photo booth by Miuchi Suzue-sensei in place.
Right off the bat, as I was making photos after Asako, this unknown O-tchan came up to us and said, "You're not ashamed at all, are you?" and I said, "How annoying! O-tchan, take a picture with us too!" and we invited him to sing the first few bars of 😂 😂 😂 Yamete Komaru Yamete (Stop Being Troubled, Stop It). He was a jazz singer called Non'no Makoto! O-tchan, you're in the Dokuros! Remember, OK? See you again somewhere!
After that we got in a taxi to KBS Hall, right away it's our turn, we're live!!! Because of a photo ban I couldn't take pictures, the visuals of the day are just during the cast party from a LINE exchange with Nabe-san from Souon Tera [ revered blues rockers SO-ON☆G, or Noise Temple ]. (Three people who are not good at being drunk, Leo-chan bursting out laughing during the recording.)
Today is the second day of MONREN! There are still tickets for the day so by all means! There's delicious food and drink, too. 🍶 (Asa Dokuro)
