ENCORE
+1 Concept (Teenage Fanclub)
+2 Boku no taiyou (My Sun) (Keihan Girl)
So if you were betting that, yes, Litsuko does decide to include her favorite song
"Boku no taiyou" after all… you win, but she made you wait until the last second.
Songs attributed to nobody would be words and music by Ritsuko Taneda,
you'd have to assume. "Tsuki" is that way.
But 巡る季節 (Meguru kisetsu, The Turning Seasons) sounds a lot like a cover
of the 1989 Inoue Azumi hit.
Meguru kisetsu ("The Turning Seasons", Kiki's Delivery Service anime image song)
Performer: Inoue Azumi
Song lyrics: Yumi Yoshimoto
Composition/Arrangement: Joe Hisaishi
Inoue Azumi Meguru kisetsu 1989 Good Morning Asahi
2014 NOV 29 by 6089772801 (04:30)
Taped off the breakfast broadcast from Asahi TV. As they make sure to mention
in the interview, the original composition was only a background instrumental.
After Kiki's theatrical release there was time and motivation to go back and turn
the OST melody into a singable image song, but you won't find it on the first
soundtrack album.

Tapping Inoue for this was a no-brainer. She'd just done the opening
and end themes for My Neighbor Totoro the year before.
The last four lines go,
Shiawase o sagasu hito ga ichiban shiawase datte Meguru kisetsu omoide ni kaenagara futari Ashita wa don'na kaze aruki dasu madobe kara Mousugu mietekuru yume o watatte yukou | The people who seek happiness are the happiest after all The two of us, as the turning seasons change into memories Tomorrow what wind will walk in through the window Let's cross through the dream appearing to us very soon |
It'd be fun to hear some of the tunes that have more drive.
Even the AKB48 one is a pretty good strummer.
"A girl of the ALPS" sounds suspiciously like the anime version of
the Heidi story. No clue about "Sheep". There might be yodeling.
