Who is singing on Elephant Insect?

Is the male vocal the guy from Sonic Youth,it sounds like him.

I know Sonic Youth were big fans of sk.But I don't think his vocal really added much to the song.

The guy singing on Elephant insect is Canadian singer Ron Sexsmith, from St Catharines Ontario (The next town over from mine)
