Boiler RIkugame have a lot of admirers among their peers. They play well and sound good, they do a live show that picks audiences up by the nape.
But if there's one thing they have more of than anyone, it's unqualified self-belief. This is what I mean:

Two girls who are old enough to know better messing around with a camera and a song they like, just like any two middle-school kids trying to make fodder for NicoNico Douga. They're like a couple of bulls loose in the house. To me, this is hilarious.
The footage is only on Twitter, as far as I know. So there's no option but to open the status page and wait a bit while your browser jumps through the hoops to get the media into a window you can click on.

The frankly amazing Boiler Rikugame (Boiler Land Turtle) have a new album called "Jiden" (Autobiography).

In stores on the 20th. They'll be touring Japan in support for the rest of 2016.

The first music video is for the song, "Ningen Soujuu" (Human Control). It's better than good. If this is not enough, what could be?
There was drama around the MV, which delivered late by a day or so. BLT kept the director up all night over problems with the edit. That's over, so now Boiler Gyuun says:

Okay Gyuun! Hopefully you don't have to worry that you've opened a vein for art and no one could care less.
Anyway, it's a great song and a bare-naked raw music video. Direct and emotional, from one of the world's most hang-it-out-there guitar bands.
Helpful subtitles… but Japanese only. It's probably enough to know this is about coming to terms with painful relationship problems.

「人間操縦」"ningen soujyuu, human control" is the opposite of servo-control or autopilot. It means there's a human steering. Ningen soujuuu unitto is the dictionary equivalent of "MMU" (NASA's old untethered extra-vehicular Manned Maneuvering Unit).
I don't know this song, but "Debu" is uncomplimentary for "fat person". They were working (?) on choreography for this title in the Instagram videos above.
MONOKURO = short slang for "monochrome", but coincidentally "kuro" also = black
Chakkaman is a popular line of piezoelectric butane lighters

Gyuun slipped and turned an ankle on the wet street, and cracked her phone. Clowning around? No, just walking with her face buried in the screen, probably making a video. She's OK thanks to prompt attention!

They want you to have one of their snazzy band hoodies with the very up-to-date gonzo motif.

DJ Amy demonstrates proper use of the BLT gonzo-themed tee-shirt. You need some core strength to really make it talk.
Although it was great before, now that I have it Boiler Rikugame-sama's shirt is too cool, too cool. I'm happy I could buy one and take this [movie of myself in it]. Truly, this shirt is cute.

The new album is in circulation. Oh joy, oh anxiety. But to start, at least, all the hard work creating the music and the fanbase for it is paying off.
I looked around for one twitter-bit that would summarize the record release party at Shinsaibashi VARON.This might do the trick. From clipper_ (@luka_tilka), a public sub-account of the private Kawannonn (@augusti_NA).
If you click through to the photos, they are really professional grade. For once it's somebody else beside Mayumi Saito (who was also there).

It seems as if the band hit at least one location for every major outlet in their home area. They surprised fans, fluffed up store managers, tweeted out photo after photo. They are their own grassroots advertising army.

A day out and a day in with BLT
My Favorite Cotton Buds / Boiler Rikugame 2015 MAR 17 by Boiler陸亀劇場 (03:35) Beginning delivery via iTunes 3/1 Boiler Rikugame "Okiniiri no Menbou"
MV for "Okiniri no Menbou", a compilation of highlights from recent months, including sets at various clubs, a panel discussion fully dressed in silver foil, a summer day-trip to the river with a cookout.
Their ordinary mixture of ridiculous & sublime. This tune is the last track on the "Autobiography" album.
Sadly, this is not the first time they've done something like this.
Doë and Gyuun and accomplice Oharu challenge the classics: some kind of god-awful pan fritters, and a trolley car dessert centerpiece made of chocolated graham crackers. Today for once, most of their ingredients didn't come vacuum-packed from 7-Eleven.
As becomes clear, their kitchen skills stopped developing in middle school, about when their interest in music started. We don't seem to have any ingredients. What'll we do, I wonder?
No counter space means, put the mixing bowl on the floor, where a disconnected microwave oven makes a handy work island. The height is perfect. When did you vacuum last?
This batter needs something (bowl tipped up into face).
Maybe what it needs is a sheet of dried seaweed, not that it matters. I can eat anything.
Hmmm. How is it? Edible.
Let me try. THIS IS GREAT!! WE'RE VERY SKILLFUL! Ahahahahaha!
