The Buffalo Club, one of London's best & coolest music venues, is under threat. A lovely underground room with great sound & lighting, where, I happily had my No Cars cherry popped. It is also right opposite a Tube station. It has been bought by a chain who want to run it as a pub but not as a really cool music venue. Just what we need, yet another soulless pub full of vacuous trendy drunken a'holes. This act of cultural vandalism can't be allowed to happen. Please sign the on line petition, Sasquatch habitat needs to be preserved! www.change.org/p/save-the-buffalo-bar-one-of-london-s-best-loved-music-venues

So, as an interested noncombatant, how's this going?
I see 2,000 signatures recorded but don't expect they'd give any weight to mine. So much for One World.

I think it will either run as a pub but not as a music venue or simply be closed as a tax loss. When I was in London a couple of weeks ago, I was catching the tube (Highbury & Islington tube station is directly opposite the Buffalo Bar), & poked my head around the door just to say goodbye to the place, I suspect I have seen my last gig there.

Sux, man. On the other hand, opportunity knocks for a 24x7 small entrepreneur who loves the business...
