So, I've been on eBay for over 10 years now and usually things go fairly smoothly if you use some common sense. But sometimes a seller just ticks me off. Last week I "won" an SK CD, I also put in a bid on another CD from same seller. Nobody else was bidding, so got each for 1 cent. Great ! Shipping for each was set at $9.99... I contacted the seller, asking if he could combine shipping. He replied with how much discount I had in mind, since he wasn't exactly making anything on the CD's.... Now it's not really my problem that he didn't put a starting price on it, right ? But I chose not to reply and simply pay, expecting 2 packages to show up.. Guess what showed up today ? Yeah...1 bubble envelope with my 2 CD's and $2.20 in stamps. So in the end I won 2 CD's for $0.02 and seller still walks away with $17.78 I paid for shipping. Not cool in my book.

Not cool at all! But think of it this way: It's like you got each CD for $8.90, and that isn't too bad.

Sure..and I'm not going to make a big deal out of it or anything. Both CD's are in mint condition, so worth about that anyway. But it's still hard not to feel cheated.Oh well..

My most annoying eBay thing was when I ordered a SK CD from a seller in Australia and paid a huge international shipping charge to get it quickly.
About six weeks later the CD that I'd ordered finally arrived. So much for the expensive quick delivery. Then I noticed that the package had been posted from a City not much more than 30 miles from where I live. I could have walked there and collected it quicker and cheaper than getting it posted to me.
Pesky eBay sellers and their international partners. I've even ordered stuff which was supposedly coming from America, but when it turned up it came from Jersey. (A British tax-haven island just off the coast of France)
But I shouldn't grumble too much as I've found a lot of good stuff on eBay.

Funny thing about Jersey, it's an English Island populated by French families deported from France, for being Hugenots... including my protestant cousins
