Wow. Considering who's up there on that stage, they sound kind of terrible, maybe it's just the TV. Not the greatest solo GC ever took but, you know, Alzheimer's, plus everything else. New York in 2000?

Oh My God, that's RIDICULOUS. They sound like Memphis, not Helsinki. Where'd Lena learn English, off of Bonnie Bramlett records? 〜〜〜〜〜 CRAMPS GOD TIER 〜〜〜〜〜 I have a cute Polish singer from Lodz for you. She immigrated to the US as a child, though. She was always much better than her material, which is why it's ironic she became a producer. Genya Ravan : Jerry's Pigeons2015 OCT 23 by Folk rock. Australian rock. More. (03:08) Promo video for the single from her 1978 album Urban Desire.
Ravan's career has ranged from girl group pop with Goldie & the Gingerbreads in the 1960s, to the New York 70s punk scene, recording her own music and producing the Dead Boys, Ronnie Spector's comeback album etc.
Her most recent album Cheesecake Girl was released in 2013.

I was lucky enough to see them live once, remembering that one of the guys had a lampshade on the head. Terry Adams

Loved them since high school. For a few summers they would bounce back and forth between the college town where I grew up and Cape Cod. I got on Terry's bad side by innocently asking him once about something he would do with his Clavinet. He would have told me his Social Security number before that, but I had no idea.

Nice. Stockholm's a long way from San Antonio, but even Texas got a little crowded for Doug Sahm because of the dim view the authorities took about his favorite recreation. I just read he did this for a Swedish label. (!) That makes a lot more sense than Sahm's great big horse face under Prince Valiant hair. Their manager was happy to let people think the band actually did come from England. Making a remark about it was to excuse the haircuts to a Middle-American TV audience. The USA is where crew-cut jocks used to beat up Beatle-cut sissies. Are you a boy or are you a girl? That performance of their big pseudo-merseybeat hit was for 'Hullabaloo' on US TV in 1965. The set dressing budget must have been zero. The homeboy host looking at home in the tailored suit is Trini Lopez.

He's playing himself but in that flim clip he's only acting. Sort of. Harry Dean Stanton plays a version of himself too. This was 3 or 4 years after Easy Rider and people were already uninterested in movies about hippies with bales of Mexican pot.

As a 7 year old in 1969 probably my favorite band - along with the Beatles who also had a cartoon show lol:) Just began watching the new TV show Riverdale. Waiting for the band to reform. Did see Josie from the Pussycats on last show lol:)
