Wow, that was cool. And so much better than the original version that I had to force myself to check out on YT so that I could compare them. I managed to watch less than a minute of the official video before trying to find something else. Almost anything else would have been better. But I did download Maki's version of the song. For me, Kiss is a rather poor joke. I put them in the same compartment as "Bad News", but not as funny.

Interesting, both Naoko and Maki were (and still are) big KISS fans. (They both would have been around 15 during KISS' heyday in mid '70s; and they both saw KISS when they recently toured Japan). I can see the KISS influence - especially with SK with the outfits they wear on tour - part of the fun of a SK concert experience:)

Kiss were the masters of creating the whole 'fanclub' ideology, back in the day. I only really know a couple of Kiss songs, but I really like them, and I can certainly see why a lot of young people would in the 70s. However, having seen so many interviews with Kiss band members, they are probably the most arrogant, unlikeable, cringeworthy personalities that have ever graced RnR . Knowing this puts me right off the music.

Yeh, Kiss are certainly the masters of the whole marketing strategy.
See the band, buy the t-shirt, and for the full KISS experience, buy the toilet roll...
Then go home and mow your lawn with your KISS lawnmower! That's rock 'n' roll folks.

KISS is and always was a JOKE, from the days of the worst music EVER (Unless [C]rap qualifies as music), like so many other bands of the HEAVY METAL/GLAM ROCK era, they covered up their lack of talent by screaming the words, long hair and ridiculous make-up; KISS taking that idea to the maximum heights of ridiculousness! (Apparently, the less talent, the more make-up!) photo uploading

"I Hear a Symphony" (not a Supremes cover:) Love this song! Sounds like a lost classic from the great Bachrach/David catalogue:) youtu.be/-TGtCHzPlSw
