I suppose like a lot of people I discovered SK via Nirvana. I have always been interested in Japan, Japanese culture (and Japanese girls!!) so made a mental note to check out SK. To my shame it took me years to actually get around to doing this. The first thing I ever heard by SK was Twist Barbie off Burning Farm. I was immediately hooked. I began buying all their albums off e bay and amazon, and would look forward to the sound of a new SK CD album being posted through my letter box. Some came from Japan and I marvelled at the thought of a CD actually being posted to me from their home country. This year I have attended three SK shows - awesome!!! I have never seen a band rock so hard in all my life! Best of all, I got to meet SK in personal. They say you should never meet your heroes, of course, this does not apply to SK. SK were just like everyone says they are; very, very friendly, down to earth and approachable (and extremely gorgeous). My only regret is not having checked out their music out years earlier. Though I have no doubt I have many great new SK CDs and shows to look forward to. I expect the ultimate will be to finally to get to travel to Japan and catch some SK shows there!!! Kurt Cobain thank you very much!!

Welcome aboard! You have beaten my record, I visited "just" two shows this year. (read "2 SK shows in 17 days") I also was able to discover SK 10 years earlier, but then Youtube did'nt exist yet.

Welcome aboard Sasquatch, like you, I waited a few years between the first time I heard of the Knife and the first time I ever bothered to listen to them....sadly, it meant that I never got to see the original lineup; because Michie left soon after I got into them. Attachments:
