I made this one up myself! If I want to see fake smiles, I will go to the red light district. If I want to see true smiles, I will go to a Shonen Knife concert!

No, I will have a nice chat with them. Do they all speak English? Or is Naoko the only one? I will ask them if there will be a dvd with all their music videos, because I'm sick of searching on youtube. And I'm going to hit on Emi and Ritsuko!

All 3 speak English, I would say Emi speaks it the best and Naoko the least fluently You can have Emi, but, Ritsuko's mine

"You can have Emi" Now THAT'S what I like to hear! By the way, how should I pronounce her name? Like Amy or Emmy?

I knew it!
In Dutch, you will pronounce it as Amy, but of course, she's Japanese.

Good news from Naoko....
[ENS] What’s the future for Shonen Knife? After so many years together, is there an end in sight?
[NY] I’ve never think about quitting the band. I’d like to continue if there are people who want to listen to our music. Continuity is ROCK

Shoknifeman, you have my hearty permission. Shout it from the rooftops. This is the most underrated, underappreciated and undersold band on the friggin' planet. If there was justice in the universe, the Ramones, Buzzcocks and Nirvana would have been opening acts for Shonen Knife. (And you can quote that, too.) Sirrealify I love original kinda people, and Shonen Knife shine!KittyMixALot ============================================== Somehow, I don't see Johann Sebastian Bach writing a cantata or punk rocker Sid Vicious writing a song about banana chips. Wonderfully original source material!mphello @mphello Thats what makes them special, they write about things they love, in their own little unpretentious lives Shoknifeman

"This video is solid Platinum, shiny pastel gold-flecked precious metal, sugar cotton candy, honey ice cream sundae, blissed out, popalicious and premium punk pink powdered soul drugs."
ULTIMATE KAWAII! ShonenAltec
I know Japan has a large population but just how big is the pool of gorgeous young talented female rock drummers? They're on their, what 4th now? sreymind
