Social Contribution promotion.yahoo.co.jp/news/social_contribution/xmas1611/ In Kumamoto Prefecture, around 150 Santas and Santa's Helpers played by local university students, with volunteers from other areas, will deliver gifts in person on Christmas Eve. On their list: all the families with young children still living in temporary shelter after the earthquakes last April. Everybody will end 2016 on a happier note, including the Santas themselves.

Business as usual at the home of the $51 steak sandwich, reservations accepted. I think that is being shown with a side of dried cow chips.

Thanks for pursuing this. As Tomita made clear, the attack put an end to the life she was living. Her Twitter feed and blog stop cold last May. Hard to believe the court gave him less than the maximum, there was a lot of criticism as you can imagine. A sympathetic entertainment person said he wanted to help if she'd like to resume her career, but that may be symbolic only. The defendant has already appealed his sentence according to a little notice in the Asahi Shimbun. That was predictable. This is after the out-of-control shouting outburst at his sentencing. I thought it strange that you have to go to Malaysia to get a report in English. But it's no longer a sensation that the Western press can use, and Japanese news outlets are burying the story or expiring it as hard as they can, is my impression. So in the meantime, harassment on social media is now illegal in Japan. Eriin Kamiya of Masked Girls had her blog defaced with graphic threats of violence in January. She went to the police to report it, but they said there was nothing they could do because there was no way to tell who was responsible. Unlikely that the trail really ends so abruptly, but there's no will to pursue it. So on February 6 she held an emotional news conference to pressure them. I watched it. It's grim. She was branding herself as a problem. She looks awfully alone giving her statement, and halfway through the questions from reporters she's in tears. The media ate it all up. spotlight-media.jp/article/377778910136273059Some reportedly dismissed the appearance as a publicity stunt, which I find unbelievably callous, no matter what they may think privately. But she's a gravure model, and that seems to give people some weird permission to be their worst. So what's the law but a couple of paragraphs in a great big book?

At least she will live, possibly with a lot of pain, but, she seems pretty determined! Idols are the can-do, goal oriented, hardworking, positive thinking, hopeful ones. It's just how the industry works, so if anybody has a chance at life after a thing like this, she'd be the one. Peace, relief and happiness to her. As long as we're thinking about good outcomes, a little rehab would not hurt her perpetrator at all. There's a demon in human skin, so if you want the world to be a better place... he's in same-to-worse need of fixing. What hope in the world is there for a guy like that?

3/11 went by, remembered by everybody in Japan as the sixth anniversary of the great earthquake and tsunami. Especially people that were in that region of the coast. Mayumi Saito remembers 3 days of living in her car, after arriving in Sendai a few minutes before the tsunami made land. http://instagr.am/p/BRgQq_VlGuf You can't forget it even if you want to forget. That day happened 6 years ago, and unmistakably I'm here right now. For various people, [ it was ] a big impetus. Although even now I can't find words for it, I have to keep thinking about it. #3.11
