HARD IDOLmone of Malcolm Mask McLaren. Ear loops on a skull?malcolm-mask-mclaren.tokyo/page/news20160217/Enjoy the shirt graphic, it's as deep as this unit goes. They bill themselves as melodic hardcore, but that turns out to mean tired idol pop with standard metal arrangements. The girls just sing through surgical masks and perform awkward calisthenic routines to recorded music. Judging by videos, their fans are all males under 35. Finally found a group that makes me nostalgic for the Vanilla Beans. I'm sure the members are delightful people, as who isn't. Oh, here's your proof: Malcolm Mask McLaren / myself(MV)2016 JUL 15 by Malcolm Mask McLaren マルコム•マスク•マクラーレン (03:54) I realize that location scouts can only come back with what they find, but… why a dry pool in the woods? Not atmospheric enough anyway, let's have colored smoke. It'll look great to the camera drone. Somewhat more legitimate is this: Zekkyousuru 60-Do with 6% is MINE, "Cherry Blossoms Fall Twice, And Twice Bloom" MV (2nd Single "Cherry Blossoms Fall Twice, And Twice Bloom" EP Recording) [Official] 2016 APR 06 by Wish Label (03:45) ▼ Zekkyousuru 60-Do with 6% is MINE · official sitesixpercentismine.net/z60Emo metal. It can exist, so it must exist. Good job making teen suicide look like a fun leisure activity for girls. Zekkyousuru 60-Do translates to "Screaming Sixties". They're @zekkyo60 on Twitter. I'm not totally clear on this concept, but it seems that two leather-clad girls (Zekkyousuru 60-Do) in masks, dog collars, batwing micro-cape and other subculture trappings teamed up with a covers band called 6% is MINE to do something neither could do alone — crack the Oricon chart with 100K units sold. 〜〜〜 Rounding out the selections is some seasonal black idol: NECRONOMIDOL 06/24 An NAITO Vol. 5

It's rather too synth-clubby, but "Chongqing REDLINE" comes close to naming an appalling episode of terror bombing against China that Japan would rather forget. Well, let's not dwell on unpleasantness when "SKULLS IN THE STARS" is so danceable. So they must have liked it for the senses of tetsu, which include iron, penetrating clarity, philosophy, and staying up all night long. Their first release included a song called "The Limits of Philosophy". The original Tetsuko formed at high school in Kyoto, and the current lineup has been together since university. They had their first release in August of 2010 (the maxi-single "Sweet Song"). Still active, they participated in the Osaka Minami Wheel this year. Their job is bringing you nice things. They take it seriously, they are as solemn about their games as children. They're also kind of sly, so it helps to pay attention. テツコ (Tetsuko ) / BABY (Japanese Girl Rock Trio <Tetsuko>)2015 SEP 23 by SazanamiPT (05:42) Release of the MV "BABY", the first song in a year and a half from the eternally fresh rock trio, Tetsuko. Click baited vid of a drum cover of X JAPAN which turned out to be pretty good...
While I'm on drum covers that I don't really know where to post, here is another which could easily have been put in the "love Japan" thread...

Heh, you got me to listen to the DMaj Canon. Again. Everyone wants to knock off Yoshiki the godhead. "Kurenai" is THE chestnut of choice, because it's difficult enough yet straightforward enough. You do have to work pretty hard with the feet. Even Yoshiki wasn't unbearably great at it, to start. Discretion advised (some graphic violence toward instruments). X Japan Kurenai LIVE TV2006 JUN 26 by Mellie (05:54) This is a rare, old clip of a live television performance of "Kurenai" from X (Japan). Enjoy!A higher bar, later. But Hide's gone, RIP. X Japan - Kurenai (From Last Live) HD2009 JUN 22 by Benzyh (07:57) X Japan - Kurenai from Last Live is the best version of this song I Miss You, HIDE!!!
X is somewhat on my mind because of their biopic and the fact that Yoshiki is roaming around various US cities, being received as royalty by fans and ignored by everyone else. They've never gotten their due outside JP, and their history is so full of blinding light and pitch darkness... Tickets for Wembley in March on sale now. @xjapanofficial2017 will be a different year! 〜〜〜〜〜 As expected, an artificial pro drummer with real drums is much better than a real student drummer with artificial drums. I think the wobbling of the poorly secured cargo shelf must really be hurting her time. 〜〜〜〜〜 Nyango Star — people have speculated wildly that the big red apple-cat is actually X's Yoshiki Hayashi, especially because of the leaning toward kandy klassical. But that's ridiculous, there are a thousand drummers in JP who could pull this off, even inside a giant plush bag. NS tends to favor Slipknot covers, too. Here's another one of them/him/it doing 20 minutes at an early Halloween show this year, with copy-band "Pumpkin or Chicken", rather well-rehearsed, wearing a costume on top of the costume (nice). Stick loss during "Sailing Day" at 17:07, with recovery. Not just Kurenai! Nyango Star BUMP OF CHICKEN!2016 OCT 17 by ねこ 動画.com (21:27) BUMP OF CHICKEN covers from the rumored Nyango Star, superb technique going strong!
Please have a couple of liters of electrolyte drink ready for afters.

Heh, you got me to listen to the DMaj Canon. Again... Mwa-ha-ha! All part of a cunning plan of revenge after you made that Barberettes post. Tenuous link that it may be, but just a couple of moments at the beginning of Like I Do sent me to the most exquisite of hells and agonising heavens. The things my eyes have seen while while chasing round the net following the same song over and over and over again with the usual brief(?) diversions of random clicks on perhaps hundreds of dancing girls performing on and on and on for days seemingly without end. Ah, the sweet pain that my delicate ears and eyes have had to endure for an age with the crazy tinnitus of Po Pi Po incessantly rattling round my brain on a constant loop. You evil Tan. Share my pain, here's the game that I dare not buy... The videos fell like the blossoms from One Thousand Cherry Trees and the Po Pi Po tinnitus got almost unbearable when a different set of dancing girls - Trysts with Tinnitus started on me... You gotta watch this, even if it is only to see a wonderful turquoise and purple top Now for the power of candy... This one had been calling me for ages, but I kept clicking on something else. My computer tells me that I'm having "Trysts With Tinnitus", or perhaps it is "Assignations With Tinnitus"... Anyone?

Whatever it is in the water over in Kansai, this band got their share. They should have their own thread. I can't give a proper start to one right now, who can wait for that... ...Mikkai to Miminari (Secret Meetings and Ringing in the Ears)... You've done a pretty good start on giving them their own thread, perhaps it needs sliding over? Thanks for digging out all this extra info, and for cleaning up my confusion with their name amongst other things. I'd first sniffed them out thanks to Diarrhoea Girl and had wondered. I kept putting off posting because of my confusion with their name, but that new Popipo vid gave me the perfect excuse as I'd been wondering where and how to post that bit of gaming. After browsing for an unhealthy period thanks to the Bareberettes singing "Doh po-po pi-oh", I gave in to the need for help. Then you slipped on that hot patch of diarrhoea and fell right in. He-he-hee! Sometimes cunning plans really do work. (BTW, Tenuous is one of my muddle names, but I like to fool myself that I eventually managed to bring everything in that post all together into one solid floater near the end.)As for the Band's name, I'd eventually settled for intermittently using both Trysts And/With Tinnitus because of the ear a-peal and I've got used to the sound of that. But maybe Mikkai to Miminari would be beter, although frustratingly for me, "tinnitus was is often together with you me at some meeting", so that name feels more real. Damn, I'm going to have to re-name files - and then remember having done so. The "to" in their name, should that be pronounced like "toe", or perhaps "two"? You chose a great selection of vids in those posts of yours, no doubt some of them especially picked with forum members in mind. I like vids about making those strange Japanese children's sweets . That was a treat which I'm sure mikado-AKA-Shoknifeman will treasure forever as it gave us some naughty under-the-table shots of naked feet. I particularly appreciate your finding some cute dancing girls for me, the first of the tunes I recognised and I was even able to track down some pics of band members socks on twitter. Even though I didn't understand a word of the cardboard theatre, I enjoyed the repetitiveness of its Tomoko-ish shaggy-dog story qualities. Then the manga fiend. They do some really nice vids. Slightly late, but have you clicked on the Halloween promo vid? Or for another slice of odd fun how about this one...

Let's try sliding later. I've taken to just calling them Mimimi like everyone else seems to. But then I forget how their real name is spelled. They've declared what they call "Mimimi Theater", comedy skits and edited reality footage sandwiching band promotions. Like Boiler Rikugame does. The second vid, a fairytale of rock star street harassment is a 9-minute setup for a 2-minute commercial about a scheduled show at the venue. Like Childe Roland in the goblin world on the way to a sales seminar. They seem to have made that in the chilly pre-dawn hours, the way they did the no-budget PV for their second album: Mikkai to Miminari 2nd mini album trailer2015 NOV 11 by 密会と耳鳴り (03:04) Mikkai to Miminari 2nd mini-album At The Crazy Town Dining Table releasing December 09 (2015)At The Crazy Town Dining Table 1. Dog Race2. Ash Headed Woman3. Make-Believe Dining Table4. Hate5. Sex Scene〜〜〜 The Happy Halloween Show features interviews with possessed dolls in a practice room at Studio246. Each doll has an improv story to tell the exorcist in its squeaky doll voice. Mel's doll is inhabited by the spirit of a girl who committed suicide after being attacked by big, scary monsters. Choku's spirit had a problem with a boyfriend, and was in a convenience store, "and I died or something. It was scary." That must have been hard, says the interviewer. Why are you laughing so much? They are very whiny dolls. They become happy, bouncy dolls for an announcement about the final show on the tour for their "Beautiful Strikes Back" CD, November 22. Then it's right back to complaining. Because they've taken the road of using whatever they've got as individuals, creatively, to substitute for money they haven't got, I kind of adore this group. They are almost as indie as it's possible to get.

?? "They laughed when I sat down at the piano, but when I began to play…" See all the biker boys in the TV audience, dressed in their civilian casuals? While Naoko was trying and failing to get kid-sister Atsuko interested in the Beatles, these guys were doing the kind of heavy rock she'd later start imitating. Elsewhere I see that Tan has posted something and now I find out that they're called Powann rather than Pointe which is what my computer had been telling me they were called. So here's a rather nice vid about the power of the Sailor Suit. We all know how powerful sailor suits are... BTW, there's no sound at the start of this vid.

Elsewhere I see that Tan has posted something and now I find out that they're called Powann rather than Pointe which is what my computer had been telling me they were called. So here's a rather nice vid about the power of the Sailor Suit. We all know how powerful sailor suits are... Powann, Let's wear a sailor suit MV at YouTubeBTW, there's no sound at the start of this vid. Heh, the making of drummer Tachi Matsukori as an actor. He looks and sounds nothing like a girl, but isn't at all bad at miming one. Speaking of show-biz careers, the BiS copy video propelled boobalicious Misaki Kamenaga to fame as a nude model. She left the band at mid- September 2015 to make her fortune in the gravure trade. She had attracted unholy amounts of attention because of some slippage in her top, which they had to cover with an image overlay. Powann say they'll introduce their new keyboard player on the 22nd of this month. In the interim, they had tried just being a guitar band made up of 2-1/2 girls and 1-1/2 boys. Powann – Happy Miracle Love Song2016 APR 14 by ぽわん (05:27) Direction, camera, editing: Yuki Shirato Location: A bar someplace in Shimokita Special thanks: Daiso & CandoTaking a page out of the Pizzicato Five recipe book, only, zero budget. About their name Google's just trying to be reasonable here. ポワント (POWANTO) is the Japanese rendering of the French word pointe. ポイント (POINTO) is the English point. Google would hand you back poin as a translation, except that "poin" isn't a word and the software's bias is to guess that you forgot the TO on the end. If you create different contexts for Google, it'll guess translations for POWAN ranging from "pop" to "spicy" to "powder". Not so crazy. It's the band that's being strange (surprise). I'm sure the name Powann makes sense, but not to me. They're so into girly-whirly things that it might be baby talk that just goes right over my head. I can tell you that powantoshita, as applied to persons, means somebody who's got fluff for brains. Taken to be charming and fun, or annoying and moronic depending on your needs. Powann fans collectively are called ポイズン (POIZUN), poison. I guess it's a contraction, but can't really explain that one either.
