Finally, enough reason to use the tour blogNaru talks about her black Rickenbacker bass ♡
I posted to my blog for the first time - I am unfamiliar with this! ☆

Owing to inexperience, the picture(s) seem(s) to be turned sideways, s'cuse meShe fixed it though.
There's only as much English as she was comfortable with, i.e. not much.
The photos were hassle enough.
Naru was very excited to be playing her second 712DP, two years after the first.
First time at FEVER, everything was new.
She mentions some nice flowers from a Fuji TV supervisor for their PARK segment,
which will be available on demand from 10pm Thursday the 27th. To subscribers.
She praises Risa's unalterable smile. I get the feeling Risa is like a pet to Naru.
She's also grateful to papalion for being such cool people, happy, very fun
to be around, healing personalities.
The Pats Pats are pictured at rehearsal. She found them cute, was charmed by their
street wardrobe choice of Shonen Knife t-shirts. Watching them wearing Naru's favorite
clothes, playing Naru's favorite instrument, rehearsing songs Naru would also like to sing,
she said, "my heart was washed. Or rather, I was reminded of my own younger days…♪
She said, "washed". Same word you'd use for doing your face or a bag of vegetables.
Apparently cuteness still works on people who are themselves cute,
charm charms the charming.
Playing, she had first-time nerves but the crowd was great.
Did it! I posted to the blog again for a second time!
Good night. ☆
712 DAY PARTY 2017 · 名古屋 Nagoya ☆
www.shonenknife.net/blog/?p=26078Amateur naturalist Naru was thrilled by watching swallows feed a nest full of chicks.
She and Risa went for ramen at lunch. Risa was recently eating ramen day in and day out
on a 30-day tour, be honest, isn't your stomach sick of ramen by now? No, after the
US Ramen Adventure tour Risa likes ramen more than ever. Completely loves it.
Naru wrote, "I didn't quite commend her with: you, as of this moment, are a Ramen Pro (lol)"
Sounds like a catch-phrase I haven't heard.
The English for all that was just, "We really like ramen."
UPSET is yet another club Naru's never been before. So many firsts.
More unconquerable Risa smile.
After the show was over, Shonen Knife was hanging out with The Pats Pats whose
bass player, Midori, plays a Rickenbacker like Naru's. Naru was "kind of happy
with the feeling" of playing matching instruments.
Midori:
Model 4003, (updated but with classic profile and edge binding, stereo capable)
Naru:
Model 4001C64 ☆ (45+1/16" overall, 10lb, all-vintage spec w/ original horseshoe bridge pickup, monaural).
The new tees are cute, aren't they? Ring neck. Stripey-stripes.
The second day was relax & enjoy. Thanks Nagoya Rock City!

Naru's Rickenbacker is arguably the rickiest Rick ever made to take roundwound strings.
Discontinued in 1983, except for the improved (?) truss rod in the neck it was completely
faithful to the 1964 build, with dot fretboard inlays, right-handed body and left-handed
"cresting wave" scroll on the head. As much as possible, a recreation of the bass that
Rickenbacker gave to Paul McCartney (before he modded his).
The 'C' series designation (pretty good guess) is for "Collector". Rickenbacker spared
nothing to recreate their early Beatles-era line.
People who like these basses totally prize them. They are as heavy as boat anchors,
so really loving yours is quite helpful if you play it standing up.
