BLEACH (ブリーチ, burīchi)
Also: Bleachmobile, Bleach03, Bleach 03. There were trademark infringement problems outside Japan.
“Three Japanese girls from Okinawa, young and small, but they make a very large explosive roar.”
Note that the guy in the quilted jacket below is not a giant .
L to R: Miya: Bass, vocals, growling/shrieking; Kanna: Guitar, vocals, perpetual knit hat; Sayuri: Drums, chorus
Some of us are never going to be able to like this band. But, like a cyclone, they surpass likes and dislikes. Between 2000 and 2009, Bleach recorded six studio albums, came to the US five times, and burned out.
They are metalcore in spirit: hard, sharp, fast, controlled… merciless. There are aspects of skate-punk, alt-rock, rap, funk, swing… celtic, slavic and Spanish dances… “Challenge” from 2005 is a pop ballad. They have an Oi! cover version of AC/DC’s “T.N.T.” They’re versatile, well-rounded, even. For hardcore thrash!
Sometimes sounding like The Red Hot Chili Peppers; sometimes like Slayer; sometimes like a funky Melt Banana. Rated S for Screaming.

1. (00:08) “Samurai Jungle”
2. (02:45) “Rock is Calling”
3. (05:30) “The Head That Controls Both Right And Left Sides Eats Meats And Slobbers Even Today”
4. (08:45) “Not Peter”
5. (11:20) “Torch”
I’m going easy on you, this is an afternoon all-ages show in a retail shopping district. The sticker on Miya’s bass is a plug for Lozen, their label-mates on Australian Cattle God Records late of Austin, TX. Look at Kanna, she almost goes down like a dropped puppet as the clip ends. Twenty-minute set, and staggering by the close. {Not the only example. The reason might be that when she plays, she locks her knees in a half-crouch. That gives you a vee you can clamp your guitar into to keep it from swinging around, but after the numbness goes away... what a burn.}

— “So, in Okinawa, you say you take it easy. Where does the reckless energy in your music come from?”
— “It could be that, deep down, we're really dark and negative.” (Laughter, thigh-slapping. Good one, Miya!)

By repute, Club Fuji can get rough when different service branches mix with each other,
