Odd that they would misspell birbie when there was already an official release to crib from. So careless. Ahh! I guess that someone in the art department must have twisted Birbie and, bang, bang, bang, we've been living with the result of that ever since.

So, for the incredibly eager, the official SK website just coughed up track lists for the SHM CDs... the bonus cuts are recent and indeed unheard, yay. www.shonenknife.net/discs/4discs.htmlJapanese-language, but the payload's easy enough to work out! =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= EDIT: OK, if it's so easy then... here are the bonus tracks per the SK Official website: BURNING FARM [li] Parrot Polynesia (From the 1984 Aura Music compilation LP, Zero Records LM-1423)[/li] [li] Watchin' Girl (From the Aura Music compilation)[/li] [li] Banana Fish (From the Aura Music compilation)[/li] [li] Twist Barbie (Live at Van’s New Wave Music Fest, Goa, India - 2014/11/16[/li] [li] Animal Song (Live at Club Goodman, Akihabara - 2014/11/08)[/li] [li] Burning Farm (Live at Tokyo O-nest - 2013/07/14[/li] [/ul] YAMA NO ATTCHAN[li] Cycling Is Fun (Live at Osaka Fandango - 2014/03/15)[/li]

Woo-hoo, now we know when the live tracks were recorded. I'm even more glad now that my pre-order of these albums is already in. Yay!!!
It is kinda interesting to see that we've got recent recordings for the live tracks to bring the albums bang up to date, recorded using modern kit rather than some older creaky recordings which still would have been nice to have. I'm keen to hear the studio outtake of Riding on The Rocket.
Now there's just the wait to find out who is singing what song amongst the live recordings. Will they all have Naoko singing, or will some of them have Emi or Ritsuko singing?

They'll have *me* singing, once the packet arrives.

I didn't want to bore you! A PDF version of my Burning Farm dopesheet is here: www.dropbox.com/s/wxgv4sjycs6j02j/SK-DISCOG.pdf?dl=0 It's completely incomplete regarding multiple pressings and changes in content and materials, that's for sure. You can contribute by telling us if the MCA CD release had the title for the Ramones cover in English only, or if they also wrote it out in Japanese kana. Aaaaaargh! You terrible person, Tan. Asking me to find stuff can cause real difficulties sometimes, 'cos my whole world is in a permanent state of disarray. Now where did I temporarily put that CD "just for now"? I am in the process of pretending to tidy up and organise my stuff, but somehow me trying to tidy has resulted in even more mess while things get assigned temporary hiding places. I was certain it's listed in English, but I wanted proof. I gave up hunting after I found something else that I'd "lost" for quite a while and that distracted me. But I did find a pic for you. I also have fantasies about a complete discog of SK releases being only a few clicks away. It would make finding out about the gaps in my collection so much easier and simplify attempts to fill them. I've not even got a list of the releases that I've own, and they're spread all around my flat. So seeing your pdf of Burning Farm releases further inspired me to get round to organising something. Any decade now. Michie looks soooooooooo cute, here!

I wonder if these re-releases were conceived for the younger fans, who might not already have them; the fact that the bonus songs mainly feature the present members seems to imply, just that. After all, SK wasn't that big in their home country, as they have become recently (They even have cover bands, Brinky being the best known)and the younger fans might have been complaining that they couldn't retro-collect the entire discography; my guess is they will be on sale at the concerts

Hunting for something else, and I found the the MCA CD of Burning Farm MVCD-18001, so here's a couple of lazy scans of the back insert from the CD case. Whoops, nearly forgot to include the obi strip. Info about obi strips.I had been hunting for a CD with a copy of Riding on The Rocket (Pluto version) on it. It is bugging me as I'm sure on one of the CDs that I've got they've used a version of the song and called it "Pluto version" once before. But as is usual with my messy room, I can't find it just now so I might have imagined or misread it. A certain amount of frustrated hair pulling has been going on, but at least I accomplished something. This time when I put the CD back, I'll put it where it is supposed to live. Yeh, right.

Apparently, I was right, they are being sold on the 712 day tour (Emi's finale) That's what they're saying... But really, it'd be much cheaper just to let CD Japan mail them to you. You even get discount points for future orders!
