My favourite SK album! Just wanted to say that the version released in Australia has the Japanese version of "Banana Chips" tagged onto the end. Also the individual pics of the members don't have those dotted lines around them. Who knows what decides these things?

Some guys in suits, I guess I wish I had the J-version of Banana Chips on mine! I think they did that because Banana Chips got a lot of airplay here...Top Of The World is the only other SK song I've ever heard on the radio.

I can't believe I beat Tan man to this one, lol! Usually by the time I see something like this and post it here, it's already been posted and commented on several times over.
On a recent trip through Ebay's Shonen Knife shopping aisle I discovered many folks selling promo copies of the bands albums. Sometimes they make the extra effort and include a song list in the description, but more often than not the seller will skip that, so who knows how many rare songs there are hiding out there.
Another Michie hit, she contributed so many great songs to the group during her tenure. What a talent.

Another Michie hit, she contributed so many great songs to the group during her tenure. What a talent. Well, you know, every week there's lot of knowledge washing through this forum that takes years to acquire. Although most people tell you about less than they know about, and I'm the opposite. I don't know how many individuals on earth can say they're familiar with every version of every SK track ever released. For three decades battalions of professionals have all been trying to leave their mark, each with their own bit of product. During most of that time, audio production's been evolving, so the same release isn't very much the same on CD as it is on vinyl even when supposedly the identical item. Since SK overlap the era when radio mattered and music journalism included original words, demo and promo releases deserve more attention than they tend to get. Michie's an example of something W. H. Auden is supposed to have claimed in writing, which is that a creative person has really only one thing to offer, that being a unique personality.
