Here is my Strat and my Marshall. Have a Boss Metal Zone MT-2 and Boss Loop Station for pedals. Also have Boss micro-rack Parametric EQ, Digital Delay and Chorus and a Wah pedal. Steve --More of a rock and metal sound at your house ! does that Marshall put out a good Buzz saw sound The Marshall sounds great with the Metal Zone pedal. This is my Surf setup from the other night...Fender Jazzmaster with #11 flat wounds...Danelectro Rotary Speaker pedal feeding a 63 reverb tank to the Westbury 160 W Bass amp... I was real happy with the sound. 11 gauge strings!! I use 9s exclusively. I could never bend 11's. I don't care for flat wounds, but they're probably good for that "surf" sound. Is the rotary speaker similar to a Leslie with the rotating baffle?

Oh- #11 Flat wounds on a Jazzmaster is stricktly for Surf music..I dont string bend ,,Everything I use needs Tremolo.. This is the sound I want when Playing surf ! I never said I could play good steve..Im better at a Long riff with some chords thrown in... www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5MGfmAASq0I also have a Danelectro Baritone Guitar Instead of Drop tuning the Jazzmaster..

Does anybody Play Guitar ? I play them work on them Fix Guitars and Amps for People and Bands... Besides Shonen Knife im into Intro Surf Bands too ! Its a hobby for me ...I couldnt deal with the personalites of a band nor the time. Can talk about this subject till the cows come home ! Pete 712 I just added a String mute to the Jazzmaster and a Mustang Bridge ! The Bridge handles #11 flat wounds so much better than the tune o matic and the string mute is one of those things used in Instrumental Surf Music. Pete 712 Attachments:

About four years ago, I bought an electrical guitar. But I haven't played it very much because I'm too busy with other things. But when I see other bands perform(yesterday I went to an Iron Maiden concert! ), I really want to take guitarlessons, and start my own band! What do you have for a Guitar , Amp and Pedals Dont need lessons to play some basic stuff ! I have an electrical guitar, a Yamaha ERG 121C, with a Yamaha GA-15 amplifier. I really want to spend some more time on it, but I can't seem to find the time for that.

Plugging right into the amp is probably for the beginner the big let down of playing...Wheres the majic ? wheres that sound ? Plug in and learn some chords...No books no Lessons ... watch Naoko Play on you tube ..She's mainly playing basic chords and throws in a E riff....Try it out....Hey but wheres that sound.. It done with a distortion pedal and over drive... A humbucker pick up... The Erg 121 has a humbucker on the bridge so your already there... Naoko Played a Yamaha years ago that looked like the ERG but had a floyd rose tremelo which was the RGX model... Any questions feel free to ask Pete 712 Attachments:

Nice. I love maple fret boards. Besides the Maple Board the frets are really great...The ends are even buffed they dont go flush with the neck like on Fenders. The Flame effect looks added to the wood and it appears green more than black in the light. Notice there is no Pick guard.. Its really not set up for Chord Grinders it more a Riff guitar. Found thew best postition to be the Humbucker and Middle single coil pickup...it really has a Vibrato effect... Pete 712 Attachments:

I own way to many Guitars and Amps and I cant say I even Know how to play...Seeing I love instro Surf Its more of A long E riff with splashes of Chords... Dick Dale and Naoko Yamano are my Heros ! Pete 712 is that Dick Dale? (Looks like the original Greg Brady! hehe) This is Dick Dale who I saw Sunday night in Boston and put on a great show. Shoen Knife is not comming anywhere close to Boston this year so Dick Dale filled the void. Pete 712 Attachments:

A new album! The best news we could hope for! I hope Ritsuko writes a few songs and she and Emi get to sing on a few cuts; it added a lot of flavour to the Osaka Ramones album when they got to contribute more than just backing up Naoko.

I have had an acoustic guitar for one or two years, I barely can play it though. I can't get guitar lessons, so I'm going to start to try to teach myself with the internet and stuff
