Well, any driver can make a mistake...mind you, that's a bad one haha! Yeah, before I found the Knife in '97, Rockabilly was by far my favorite music; it's only recently that I've begun to get back into it, on a high level, thx to You Tube, which posts a lot of the really great and obscure stuff that you can't find anywhere else. (Speaking of 50s music, there's a great 50s-style song on the new Free Time album called "Love Song" which I played something like 4 times in a row , last night!) As for Capybara, I love it, sure it's simple and rather repetitive but, it's so much fun to sing along, with that it would be hard NOT to like (it)!

I met Miyoko at the show in Toronto, what a beautiful and gracious woman she is! yes,i got an email from her today and she said she plans to have shonen knife back next year. Fantastic! I hope that Naoko can convince both Michie and Atsuko to make the trip for a special 30th anniversary show... I see it like this, 2 hours, first half, Naoko with Atsuko on drums and Michie on bass, singing the early stuff; second half, the present lineup doing mainly post-Michie era stuff** (I know, totally unlikely but, maybe you could get back on the phone with Miyako to suggest it, and get the ball rolling ....and yes, I would pay DOUBLE the usual $20 fee to see that.... never mind, let's raise it to $50; if that's what it takes!!!!!!)**Now that Ritsuko is doing some of Michie's songs, there might be a little problem here, but I'm sure they could find a way to decide which songs Michie does in her half of the show....how about....mud wrestling, before the concert? hahaha Ok, Michie would deffinately have the upper hand, strenght-wise, against the much tinier Ritsuko, but, Rits-chan has an age (And possibly speed) advantage, that should make this a pretty fair (and sexy) fight!!! hehe

Well, I'm not sure she is THAT sexy, but, it's deffinate that her pics don't do her justice, she is much prettier in real life ; and while I think she has a ways to go to get to Ets or Ats's level, as a drummer, she has deffinately improved very quickly, since this spring and her personality is amazing, she just seems like a really likeable person, that you couldn't hate, even if you tried (Reminds me of Mana, in that way)

I'll see your $50, and raise you $50. A show like that could be advertised months in advance, and they could easily fill a good-sized concert hall or arena. SK fans would come out of the woodwork for something like that. Might be good promotion for the band, come to think of it. If you know people at Good Charamel, please push this idea!

I think Servo is the one to ask, he has called Miyoko on the phone, and lives very close to Buffalo....actually, we both live about 45 mins from Buff, however, I have to cross the border to get there (And thx to former Pres and first Lord of Paranoid, George W Bush; I would need to spend $100 on a passport to do it, now!).
