I remember Baja bugs were big when I was a kid, the early ones had the headlights attached to the top of the trunklid "bugeye" style. ONLY IN JAPAN.........[/quote $800 and it does not come in sea foam green ! Im more the traditional Surf guitar person.. Attachments:

in 53-54 VW eliminated the middle bar and created the "Oval Window" Beetle, my personal favorite VW body style (VW had no set model year at the time, they just made running changes, some 53s were built as split windows until the supply ran out) Here we see my little brother behind the neighbour's 1957 VW "Ragtop", circa 1965 More the Bettle I love the Baja Racer that Tamiya modeled as an RC car in the 1980s Attachments:

More the Bettle I love the Baja Racer that Tamiya modeled as an RC car in the 1980s nice looking toys,,, I have a few VW toys myself! and I even once had a ride on VW toy (The best Xmas present I ever got!) Attachments:
