Did you know there were windmills in Canada? Well, there certainly were; especially during the "French Regime" (AKA Nouvelle France)... This is a windmill near Montreal, then (ca. 1910) and now (fully restored)

This pic made me laugh my head off ... The placement of the words "Raising twins" seems like it may have been deliberate! hahaha

Another pic from my trip to Quebec... an old abandonned farmhouse near St-Leon-de-Standon; the village where my Grampa was born... Wouldn't it be cool if this was the farm where he grew up? Well, I have no idea where in St-Leon his father Flavien's farm was, so, I think I'll make this one the official Flavien farm! lol

the most famous Art Deco car, the futuristic (for 1934) Chrysler Airflow; a car that was miles above the competition, but died due to poor build quality* and a nasty smear campaign by GM *The workers had never worked on a unibody before (Meaning they needed to learn new skills in a very short time) and the bugs weren't worked out in time for the car's introduction...by the time the bugs were fixed, it was too late! Do you play videogames? Then you really should play L.A. Noire. It takes place in 1947, so the game is a paradise for people who like old cars. You can even drive in that Stout Scarab!

Another beautiful Art-Deco Car, the 1934 LaSalle... this car saved LaSalle from going bankrupt in the Depression, only to see it die in 1941 due to cuts in steel supplies (The USA wasn't in WW2 at the time but, steel was being reserved to make arms for the British and it's allies who were in the war since 1939) Attachments:
